Hey guys, this recent breakup has been really heavy on my heart. I know if a guy says he lost feelings, I should take it at face value and move on, and that’s what I plan to do. I’m just struggling because it felt like the rug was pulled out from under me.
We talked for about 5 months and were on and off during the last month. He kept promising we’d get back together and said he just needed time, so I gave him that.
A few days ago he texted me about one of my TikTok reposts, we laughed about it, and kept talking. Then after I didn’t talk to him for one day, he texted me, “what happened to us😔,” and we talked all day.
While talking, I mentioned two guys I had talked to before (not seriously). He got upset that I remembered their names and where they lived, said I disgusted him, and started reposting girls on TikTok. He’s done something similar before when I reposted an edit of a guy, he blocked me and said he didn’t want to talk to a girl who does that.
After that I asked if we should stop talking, and he said, “Yeah honestly I’ve lost feelings. I’ve been trying to make this work but we’re just wasting each other’s time.” He was really calm, told me not to blame myself, but when I asked why he had asked me to hang out that same morning and told me he missed me, he couldn’t give me an answer except “idk i felt like that in the moment”
I blocked him, but I’m just confused. Did he genuinely lose feelings, or could he have said it because I mentioned those two guys?
TL;DR: He said he lost feelings right after I mentioned two guys I had talked to before, even though earlier that same day he wanted to hang out and said he missed me. He couldn’t explain the change, so I’m confused. Btw as soon as he said he lost feelings he unreposted the girls ( he always unreposts them after an argument)
