you can save and reload, but only for minor actions

you only have one chance at big choices and will not be able to reload to points before those decisions, but if you wanna do something like make a joke that might not land then you can reload.

doesn’t matter if it gets you stabbed, as long as you didn’t see the choice as that severe, you can reload and try again, or just reload and do something else.

Quite frankly I do not know what to say about this one. I find the video rather confusing, but nonetheless, very entertaining.

I envisioned this while falling asleep, on the edge between the conscious realm and the trial of the void

the two imgflip watermarks are there because when i envisioned it the thought was followed up by the idea of there being two watermarks for some reason

area/boss music tier list based on what people would think of you if you played it in public

rankings go off of both how they sound/the genres they fit in as well as the lyrics

this is also ignoring the fact that nobody wants to hear you playing loud ass music through a speaker in public

Thoughts about endings and how they could hurt or benefit gameplay.

Something I’m somewhat anxious about is what the endings to Ca:U might end up being. I know that Orsoniks intends to create a bleak and saddening setting, and that is where the slight anxiety comes in.

I seriously hope that there is not only a good ending, but one that is achievable regardless of whether you are chipped or not.

This game tugs on your sense of compassion and makes you want to protect your poor little creature, makes you wanna lead them to a better life. As DoshDoshington stated in his video about Ca:U, the real punishment for messing up is seeing your character suffer, the game really makes you care about them.

Imagine how unmotivated you’d feel if the ending was just sending your character back to the lab with no chance of escape, the game would feel so much more meaningless as you’d know that all your care and effort will just lead to the same suffering that was always inflicted upon your poor little rat-dog-thingy before they were even sent off to the planet.

Limiting the good ending to a run that starts off unchipped would be a little better than no ending, but it would also fall into the category of giving an unavoidable punishment to the player for not picking the game’s hard mode, which is just everyone’s most favorite thing ever in games ever…

I believe it would be a good idea for unchipped mode to make the good ending easier to get than if you are chipped, since in that situation it’s more of an active reward for playing on hard, instead of it coming off like “Welp, that’s too bad! Should have done without it!”.

Essentially, in conclusion, I really hope this game manages to keep the feeling of empathy as leading force in its gameplay. The somewhat meta-ness of it really enamors me in a way I can’t truly put into words.

I do trust that Orsoniks has something in mind, they’re an amazing game developer and they’re making a lot of really good choices regarding the game in my eyes, but nobody is perfect and maybe my personal opinion can spark a discussion.
