24-man strong Free Company ready to fight for Gold and Province!

All kitbashed from various Empire-kits. Every single one is a unique model. The Suns of Averland are a mercenary Free Company, led by Hauptmann Viktor von Ahrendorf, in the service of Count Lüdecke von Langenfeld of Averland. They are one of the most sought after Mercenaries in the Province, and have a good track record. They have never broken a contract.

MARK ME WELL: THAT POWDER BELONGS TO THE ELECTOR COUNT, AND NOT TO YOU! AIM FIRST. FIRE SECOND. ANY MAN WHO WASTES A SHOT SHALL PAY FOR IT FROM HIS OWN PURSE, SHOULD HE LIVE LONG ENOUGH! NOW, MAKE READY! GIVE THEM A VOLLEY! FOR AVERLAND! - Sergeant Luther Kempf, at the Battle of Ahrenford

Finished this unit of 14 handgunners for my Averland army!

"Full tilt! For ze Lady!" Painted this entire unit of Knights-of-the-realm for my Bretonnian army.

Charges for the heraldry will be applied later, as I need to make my own.

Finished this entire unit of Knights-of-the-Realm for my Parravon army. It's probably the best unit I've ever painted.

Charges will come later, as I have to make my own waterslide decal sheet.

Sir Roland de Chaçon, Knight-of-the-Realm and Champion of Duke Pavanne IV of Parravon's retinue.

Just finished this entire 32-man unit of Parravonian Men-at-Arms for my Bretonnian Army. Each man-at-arms wears the colour of their respective lord and his retinue, which is represented by a Knight-of-the-Realm model in the army.

Found a box in the attic with my old Warhammer 40k minis. Painted up this Cadian Lieutenant with only AP colours (list in the comments)

Basecoat -> Wash -> Layering -> Highlight -> (optional) Spot Highlight.

Layering is just reestablishing the previous tone.

Armour: Midnight Olive -> Military Green -> Woodland Camo -> Army Green.

Fatigues: Dusty Skull -> Dark Skin Shade -> Tomb King Tan -> Skeleton Bone.

Black Leather: Strap Grey -> Dark Skin Shade -> Deep Grey

Brown Leather: Bootstrap Brown -> Dark Skin Shade -> Leather Brown -> Paratrooper Tan

Skin: Jasper Skin -> Warm Skin Shade -> Tourmaline Skin -> Leopard Stone Skin.

Metals: Gun Metal -> Dark Skin Shade -> Plate Mail Metal -> Mithril

Grenade: Wasteland Clay -> Dark Skin Shade -> Wasteland Clay.

"For Cadia, for the 8th, and for the God-Emperor!" Found my old childhood 4th edition miniatures in the attic and had to paint up my favourite IG sculpt ever made.

The last picture is what I painted at the age of 10 years old back in the day. Quite the difference.

The Command Group for my next of unit of Men-at-Arms. These professional soldiers swear allegiance to the House that would later come to rule Parravon.

Knight of the Realm standard snapped in two. Any advice how to repair it?

Hi!

Due to a clumsy mistake as I was putting something down, I bent the banner pole of the standard and it snapped. It seems too thin to pin and super-glue seems to be really fragile. Any advice how you guys have handled it before?

Empire fanboy here! On my second unit of Bretonnian Men-at-Arms! The first six out of eighteen are done and dusted! I went with the look of every 2-3 MaA corresponding to a unique knight.
