Co2 not changing anything

Co2 not changing anything

Installed the lily pipe setup recently. Has been on for quite awhile, slowly worked it up to about 4-5 bps and drop checker still isn’t changing color and the PH hasn’t dropped at all, it’s always at 8 exactly.

I have about 3 foot of tubing after the inline co2 so it’s set up pretty good. Only thing I’m seeing is the lily pipe that I have is pointed slightly upward so maybe it’s pushing the bubbles to the surface too quickly?

I had a crappy regular diffuser until I switched to the inline and the drop checker at least turned greenish blue, now it’s just straight blue. It’s a 75 gallon tank

Anyone been getting diarrhea?

I would always get king Oscar sardines with no problem. And for quite awhile they were sold out pretty much everywhere around me but they recently got them in stock at the grocery store so I bought a bunch. The texture of them seems different than before, they feel less soft than what they used to.

I have been getting terrible diarrhea the last week or two and I think it coincides with those. Me and my wife eat all the same stuff for dinner everyday and she is not sick and the only thing that I have been eating that she hasn’t is those sardines

Plant hanger for rimmed tank

I have these Amazon ones that are supposed to be for a rimmed tank but the stupid clips still aren’t long enough so I have to drill through the plastic lip and zip tie them which is a pain, and I have to fill them with gravel because the plants roots arent big enough to fill them. They also take up a lot of space at the top of my tank it’s a 75 gallon.

What would be a good alternative that would take up less space? I tried suction cups with the zip ties and it won’t work with the stupid lip over the tank. I currently have 8 small plants just in these plant holders and it’s taking up a lot of the upper level space for my rainbows

Possible parasite?

Fish had eggs about 5 days ago, I got rid of the eggs because of the aggression and my angel has not eaten in a couple days, not interested in food at all. Poop or whatever it is looks whitish not sure what it would be

First time dad, how was it like for you?

I will be a first time dad in mid July. Me and my wife talk about the baby and all the wonderful things we’re planning as parents after he’s born and our plans on how we want to take care of him quite often and I love those conversations. I love setting up the baby room and preparing the house and all that as well

Although when I am thinking to myself I would say almost 90% of my thoughts are not centered around our future child at all and if they are it’s mostly just worrying about if I’ll be a good dad etc. A lot of my thoughts are work, hobbies like fishing, painting, drawing and of course the new fish tank that I had put together at the house (excuse was it’s for the baby, but I just wanted an aquarium to be honest lol) and I know all of the stuff that I like to do currently will change quite a bit in the future

What’s bothering me is I guess that I don’t think a whole lot about our future baby when I am by myself, I sort of just think selfishly about all the things that I like to do even that I know I won’t be able to do them as often or not at all.

Does anyone else feel the same way or does feel the same way as I currently do?

Optimal place for co2 diffuser?

Running about 6 bps for my 75 gallon. My co2 drop checker doesn’t seem to really want to turn green though. Have two HOB filters and I maxed out the tank fill so they don’t have as much current to off gas co2.

Would there be anything else I can do to fix this?

So who do you think is the culprit?

Somebody has been munchin on my plants. Tank is stocked with:

Rummynose tetra x6

Boesemani rainbows x6

Bristlenose pleco x3

Pearl gourami x1

No punishments will be dealt just wondering if theres anything I can do about it they mostly eat my hygrophila

First tank ever, fell in love with the process

Got to the stage where it’s hard to not put more plants in it. The angelfish will be put in tomorrow so I’m excited!

I love messing around with the tank and buying new plants and whatnot, I’ll be sad when there is no room for anything else in the tank lol

Gold gourami up for grabs

He is a great fish, just doesn’t fit in well with the tank. He is aggressive since he was the first fish in my tank, as long as he’s the new fish in a tank he’ll be alright

Austin aquadome

Is it a reputable place to get fish? I started a freshwater aquarium and mostly go to tiny aquatics but some of the prices are better at aquadome especially the angelfish that I want to finish off the tank

Anyone that frequents that place let me know!

Tank still cycling

I love messing with the tank but I can’t add fish yet so I just keep throwing plants in it from the grocery store to grow on the top

Pothos drooping after putting in aquarium

No fish in the aquarium now as I’m still cycling the tank but about a week after putting the pothos in it started drooping, there’s quite a few nodes in the water and I put some plant growth stuff in the tank is it not getting enough light? It’s by a window

This is Java fern right?

Seem to be doing exceptionally worse since I’ve taken them out of the substrate and into the lava rock

What else does cycling tank need?

Most beginner 75 gallon tank setup I could think of. Anything else it needs to fill some empty space?

Bought marketplace 75 gal tank with accessories

Have the OG substrate that was kept moist, uncleaned filter and various other things. Original owner had discus in the tank so I’m wondering about cycling the tank.

How long would you cycle the tank for? Been told two weeks all the way to 3 months. Will also add some extra bacteria into the tank as well to help it along
