What are tribes?

Sorry if this post might sound ignorant but I genuinely have no knowledge on the subject

So I don't quite understand what role did tribes play in nomadic cultures, were they seen as different ethnicities? Did ppl from the same tribe but different ethnicities see themselves as the same and closer than ppl from the same ethnicity but different tribes? Like the Hazara and Kazakhs from the same tribe? Were all tribes ruled by a single tribal leader or did they also constantly split and absorb other tribes?

Do some ppl from different tribes look different? I saw a post about the Argyn and researched that they're supposedly indo Iranian, do they look any different from other Kazakhs? Are there any similar cases among other ethnic groups in central Asia? I know the pashtun and hazaras have them too but im wondering if the Tajiks have them too?

Do all Turkic ppl have tribes and does everyone know their tribes? My dad's Azerbaijani for example but I don't think he would have ever heard of the concept of tribes or know which one(if any) he belongs to, so im wondering if all central Asian Turkic people have this concept

Is the concept in anyway similar to the Indian caste system where marriages were preferred within the same tribe?

How were tribal leaders chosen? Was it always an inherented position or was there also voting involved by the elders of the clan or something

We need our own YouTube channel to prevent this kinda misinformation

These are so wrong, the Sassanians never had a one state religion like Rome had Christianity, we had an official doctrine of Zoroastrianism and Christianity in the form of the nestorian church (which is still to me the most logical form of Christianity) and never EVER had anyone claim that they were "defending" Zoroastrianism against anyone other than heretical sects of Zoroastrianism from inside the empire, until after the Sassanians fell, no one could ever think that you'd have to "defend" god or religion

This is just westoids coping, the Romans never tried or could hope to conquer Persia and there's always been more Persian attempts to conquer Rome than vice versa, Shapur the first had a chance to do it if his army wouldn't have gotten ambushed, Khosrow the second famously tried, the Parthians also tried after Carrhea

The entire reason Constantinople exists is because Constantine was getting ready for a war with Persia predicting that they're gonna need 3, walls, on the safer side of the bosphorus if they want to survive

And the only reason the Romans ever got to Ctesephone was because the Parthians didn't care, as can be seen by their last attempt at doing it where the Parthians were having a dynamic dispute and the prince incharge of Mesopotamia couldn't afford to lose it so they Roman invasion failed, and the emperor only realized this after he saw the Parthians were fighting abnormally hard, but their armies were equally matched

Also there's been like 10 Armanian Romen emperors who claim to be or Parthian heritage thanks to the local nobility and many more failed attempts, infact Heracles himself likely belonged to one of these houses

Is anyone here in the US and EU who'd be willing to help me write and publish a book about Iranian history and it's diaspora?

So the idea is simple, I've read alot about Iranian history and extremely dislike how it's thought, it's boring, many important events are omitted, history outside Iran's borders are never discussed, the maps are VERY BAD and alot of the not so discussed things have caused major misinformation I want to make a book that'll (hopefully) become the standard for Iranians and our diaspora, second gen Iranians, westerners and hopefully eventually most Iranians

The book will have a few parts

1- preindo European history(of not just us but Mesopotamia too)

2- indo European migrations to Islamic conquests

2.5- Iranian mythology and how it's derived from history

3- post Islamic history and the turko Persian tradition and states (including the Ottomans, mughals and the dehli sultanate)

4- history of Iranian diaspora( including states outside of Iran's borders, our immigrations and important Iranians in other states)

5- Questions about our current identity and comparing it with others

And the modern period will not be included

Warning, I have a certain type of ADHD that makes me very bad at formatting when I write along text so I'll require some help with that

DM me if you're willing/able to help

We need an Iranian version of the Jewish diaspora and Zionism (not talking about Israel)

Alot of Iranians abroad are constantly trying to milk or scam eachother, almost every Iranian with a real job looks down on other Iranians and distances themselves from the community or thinks they poop gold and doesn't take other Iranians seriously, and almost every second generation Iranian is so far from the culture that they don't even know Persian, they don't know any news or rumors from the country outside CNN or FOX news

I myself am guilty of alot of these, im still debating teaching my infant daughter Persian as she grows up cause idk if being connected to iran will give her anything but depression, I've never hung out with the Iranian diaspora and felt more comfortable connecting to the western expat community

And the Iranians that stay in the community never try to atleast fake adopting a second mentality to fit in

Lets compare ourselves to the Jews for a second, they support eachother, really work hard to get good jobs and even the "not as clever" ones try to get the niche tech jobs that help them fit in, and the actual capable ones still hire them, give them loans etc and if nothing else atleast they know about eachother enough to compete with eachother

Simple example of something that can be fixed: why do our parents have to always support our immigration for the first few years? Why do they have to spend their life savings feeding ppl abroad with their useless currencies? Instead of more local rooted Iranians helping their community? Obviously we don't have to give the same support to the occasional Islamist who emigrates but we can easily filter them out in a simple interview, only Iranians that we should actively exclude from our communities are the Islamic minded Iranians

Even the Lebanese diaspora constantly supports eachother, they go everywhere, act like a local because they think drinking with a European means that they're just as important and try to send money back home support terrorist groups and wish for the destruction of the west (obviously not all but a good number of the ones I've met)

And don't even get me started about other types of Muslims, they go to any country and try to import as many of their country men as possible racing eachother to get the most amount of trash in, and if any of them god forbid gets a recruitment job they'll hire nothing outside their own group, for example I live in Moscow and in recruitment sites ive seen ppl post ads like "native English teacher needed, Arab candidates are preferred". Stuff like this can be done even as loans, remember دیگران کاشتند و ما خوردیم,ما بکاریم و دیگران بخورند

Is something that forms through time but it can absolutely be done and has been done everywhere at some point

And we really need to match this and exceed it, if there's an x number of immigrants going somewhere from shit countries we should atleast try to be a third of it, not 2 or 3%. There's a reason why our voice will never be heard cause the average European is several times more likely to have an Arab or Turkish friend than an Iranian ones, a news agency is several times more likely to have Muslim writers and journalists

Basically to reclaim iran back from abroad (since it's almost impossible that people from within will) we need more than anything a strong diaspora interms of everything, in every field especially trade and banking (not to connect to Iran but to filter out those who trade with Iran behind the table)

I have alot of suggestions to make Iran a great place to live and I made a post explaining them all like how alot of aspects in western democracies are outdated and can be improved in a newly built country with new institutions, like how a direct democracy is possible now because ppl have phones so policies in the senate can be voted both by the ppl and their representatives with the ppl's vote being collectively 2× their representatives in weight, so for example 60 million ppl vote for senate that's gonna pass a bad law with a 3/5 majority, if people can see the law a week in advance and a net of 6 million ppl can vote against that law then the law won't pass

I have 20 something suggestions but I mistakenly deleted my previous post and I really don't want to rewrite everything

But I want to share these somewhere meaningful so when/if the regime falls the new government will atleast implement some of those proposals

So if anyone can help me figure out where and how to get in touch with Reza Pahlavi(or his team) I'd be grateful
