My collection so far
A bit of everything, dailies are the PRX and the San Martin. Specially proud of the ST-36 which I assembled/regulated myself. Hopefully when economy allows I can add a couple bigger brands 🙂

Just FYI, the seller is "swatch1". It's really terrible, I paid 30€ for it. Reminds me back when the copy machines you copied a copy of a copy
Seem to have been sent for inspection, in Germany. Should I expect any fines?
Guy from marketplace selling this lot for a couple hundreds. I see big brands there as well as a few nice entry level, apart from all the fashion brand junk. I’m assuming they are shitters, any obvious sign? I’d rather skip the drive if it’s too obvious
Thanks a lot!
Just stumbled upon this add on Facebook Markeplace, that’s a lot of extra links! Asking price is around 5k probably not worth the gold price but maybe breaking it up and selling 1 by 1 on eBay can be a good deal 😅
I’m happy to share my first complete build with an ST-36. I bought the movement from Soflypart to follow u/Watch-Smith tutorial. I’ve abused this movement quite a lot, several cycles of disassembling, cleaning, assembly, oiling, regulation. I had several situations with it:
- I broke the click screw head, managed to extract the broken screw and… broke a second one! This was a good lesson on excessive torque.
- Mainspring had an “explosive release” the first time I tried to open de barrel. It landed on top of a shelve so I couldn’t find it anywhere. Eventually found it out of pure luck.
- Heavily over oiled it the first time. It took me some time to apply the right amount of oil.
- Dipped the balance on One-Dip and it dissolved the glue that attached the hairspring.
- Managed to superglue it but ultimately tangled the hairspring again. Ordered a new balance complete since I don’t have the skills or tools to replace a balance wheel.
- Had a hard time regulating it in part due to excessive palet jewel lubrication
- From repeated assembly the cannon pinion went loose and hand won’t turn with dial on. Tried to tighten it with tweezers and overdid it so it wouldn’t fit again. Had to order new one.
- Messed the firs dial (black) by lightly touching it with bare hands, the was no way to remove the stain and only made it worse. Brass feet got indented from mounting/unmounting it so it wouldn’t stay in place again.
- Messed the back joint by applying too much lubrijoints and not realising it had gotten pinched by the back case
I’ve decided to give the trusty movement a rest and put it to work as one of my dailies. It keeps great time. My only mistake on the final build was scratching the dial while mounting the hands even using plastic tweezers, do you guys cover the dial while mounting the hands or it’s just practice. So far dials and hairsprings and my two big challenges.
It is a simple building from a watchmaking point of view but when I look at it brings tons of memories of hours of practice, failure and success 🥲
Found at a brokenhaus, they are asking usd 500 for it. I know 99% is a shitter just wanted to check the remaining 1% with you.
