Alright so I’ve been in the collecting game for years. Figures, Funkos, memorabilia and so on. Use to collect Hot Wheels and Matchbox religiously as a kid but getting into them again. Last time I collected Woolworths was still at Yorkgate so it’s been a minute 😂

Smyths has a ton of Hot Wheels so spoken for there. Wondering what about Matchbox though? I know there’s My Old Toy Box for the classics but if I wanted to see more up to date stuff, where’s the best place?

Morning. Found myself with a bit of free time this afternoon and was thinking of grabbing a ticket for the Collectibles show. Tickets left are for after 3pm though.

Just wondering what kind of stuff would be there? I’ve seen a lot of anime and Pokémon stuff and tbh, that’s not my thing. I’d be more into Funko, retro games and figures plus memorabilia. Worth checking out?

Seriously, what gives with car insurance this year? I’m driving 11 years and touch wood not a single accident and it’s went from 640 last year to 1100 this year.

Even Uswitch where I always got a better deal is ridiculous.

I’ve not really dived into Reddit for meeting someone but since apps are proving to be more hassle than their worth then why not try here? It’s free and global and most importantly the title can be an easy write off if needs be.

Anyways, I’m from Belfast, the real capital of Ireland as they call it (and there goes the final whistle on this post no doubt) but I’m open to anywhere in all 32 counties (redemption arc?) as I travel up and down the country a lot. My career will likely take me to different places and eventually out of the country so I feel its best to get that out of the way now and be upfront.

I’m an aviation nerd and I’m in that field but I promise it’s not my only personality trait 😂 I honestly love The Simpsons, gangster movies/shows and also books and comics of the same genre. If you’re a gamer, you’ll probably catch my username is a reference to my favourite series which is GTA but I also enjoy a ton of retro games especially from the PS1 and PS2 era which I grew up in and some others.

Music wise I’m a Jack of all trades ranging from classic 80s, 90s and 2000s stuff to Latin American music, rap and further towards things like the Rat Pack…and the occasional rebel song 🇮🇪 (if you stayed long enough for this climax, you’re a keeper)

I’m currently reading All The Pieces Matter which looks at the making of The Wire TV show. If you’re a fan of that, The Sopranos and Trailer Park Boys, we will get along very well.

Physically I’m 6ft, short dark hair and a beard. Some would say a rugby of NFL player build maybe.
I’m very active and workout often by running, swimming and lifting weights. If Irish weather doesn’t let me down (which is rare) then I’ll be outdoors usually too.

- I don’t drink (insert “But you’re Irish!” comment here) or smoke. Don’t mind if someone drinks or even likes the funny lettuce from time to time but not into hard drugs.

- I workout often and usually run, swim and lift weights. I’d say I have the rugby/NFL player build going for me maybe.

- I wouldn’t say I’m a massive gamer but I do love Rockstar Games and have all their games that I like to play as well as other games from my childhood on PS2. Don’t mind some modern stuff in small doses.

- I like to read and write. Currently reading All The Pieces Matter which is a good behind the scenes look at The Wire TV series.

Yep I’m not a kick in the arse off 30 but was grocery shopping last week and was randomly given the Panini World Cup sticker book free in the supermarket. Decided what the hell I’ll grab a few packets here and there and see how I do. I haven’t collected them since 2010 and the only World Cup I really dedicated myself to collecting stickers for was 2006 which I mostly completed.

Somehow got Messi and Haaland in my opening packets this year lmao.

So just wondering if anyone is collecting them? I’ve been grabbing them on days off and just passing an hour or so peeling and sticking them. It’s therapeutic tbh.
