Do you believe two people of opposing political beliefs can be in a healthy relationship? Be it platonic or romantic? Liberal and Conservative; Socialist and Libertarian. What are your thoughts?

I understand that there is a little belief that opposites attract but in today’s political climate it seems like everyone is at each other’s throats. Can politics be put on the back burner for the name of love?

Finally watched Obsession!

I’m a bit late to the party but I just had to talk about it. I have consumed a bunch of horror media. Books, movies, comics, you name it. Nothing has disturbed me as deeply as this film. The not so subtle subtext of date rape and Bear’s predatory adoration is deeply unsettling and paired with the terrifying way Nikki moved through out the movie left no room for comfort. One of the creepiest scene to me in horror filmography is the “black maid” Georgina crying and saying “No” on repeat in Get Out that’s basically the whole shtick with Nikki. With all the slop drenched in unoriginality coming out of Hollywood at times I’m so happy horror still finds new ways to fuck me up. I’m excited to see where the director goes next.
