Antenna with 8 Side Spokes: How would you recreate it as accurately as possible with modern parts?
For instance, the modern LOTR sets like Rivendell comes with tons of different bars and bar attachments.
What parts would be best to simulate the 8 spokes, as thin as possible?

Yep, I now have two complete figures, one Edoras outfit, and one Pelennor Fields outfit.
My recent acquisisions to complete the Pelennor one:
- Helmet from the Vikings set: Thanks for an earlier suggestion from my earlier post on this subreddit. This one is indeed MUCH better, closer to her movie appearance, and pretty easy to find on bricklink to boot.
- I needed another head to make my 2nd minifig. For the Edoras version I used 2013 Leia head,, but for this one, I picked Wonder Woman.
I still only have one blonde wig, I'll live with it.
The small blurbs in the Barad-dur instructions are funny.
Barad-dur instructions: Sauron tortured Gollum to find out about the location of the Ring, and the Baggins.
Barad-dur instructions: It took Sauron 600 years to build Barad-dur. It's 3000 feet tall.
Also Barad-dur instructions: Don't swallow tiny batteries.

Started ordering the parts in 2013, took a very long break, just finished now.
All parts are 100% official Lego.
The brown dress is from the Viking woman from minifig series.
I may decide to trade that black helm with one "official" Rohan helm of my two Eomer's, or two generic rohan soldiers. This might benefit my rohan guys to differentiate them more. But there's no way I'm buying an extra one on BL just for her at these current prices. Beside, we might finally get an official Eowyn next year.

Just upgraded my listening room.
I've wanted this record player for years but prices on the aftermarket were insane. Finally found one at retail and now I'm terrified to open it.
Part of me wants to experience it the way the designers intended. The other part knows that once the seals are broken, it's no longer mint.
I've already ordered An acrylic display case, UV-resistant curtains, Cotton gloves.
The records stay sealed.
The LEGO stays sealed.
The display case stays sealed.
I'm preserving the experience for the next owner.
Thinking of grading the box. Does anyone know if opening the shipping carton hurts resale value?
Also, should I store the set vertically to avoid groove wear?
For now I'm keeping this grayl sealed beside my turntable so it can absorb analog warmth.

Might and Magic 2 (a videogame from 1989) expects you to know the USA constitution preamble.
Hi everybody, this is my first post on this subreddit, but I've been lurking for years.
As far as I know nobody ever posted this blatant example from 1989.
This is actually a great game for that time, but that ending puzzle is bull**** for anybody not knowing the USA preamble.
It's basically a cryptogram puzzle where the cypher is the scrambled USA constitution preamble.
Most Americans learn it by heart in school, so they can use it as a cypher to correctly match the paragraph to find out which letter corresponds to which.
The game makers expected their entire customer base to be from the USA.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence....
(the game substitutes "the United States" to "Terra" , an in-game reference, so it's "we the people of Terra").
Unless you know the "We the people...." sentence, it's impossible to solve without a FAQ.
