Fruiting Conditions in Winter [actives]

Hey guys. I am really struggling with getting fruiting conditions right down here in the southern hemisphere. The days are about 15°C and i do not have a cupboard or anything to put my fruiting tubs into.

It is either within a second insulated tub with a heat mat and the lid maybe two thirds on (good temps but i have noticed very skinny, slow growing fruits) or on a shelf where the temperature will fluctuate from 14° to 23° within a day.

Any tips? I am thinking a tiny usb fan in the insulated tub.

In summer I just leave them on a shelf and have zero issues, as it is quite warm here during summer.

Bin? Or harvest what I can? (Ochra)

Have dropped some peroxide on the green patches. The green patches are where there was excess water accumulation. Has not been dunked yet and has only just started fruiting.

Consolidating for Experienced Grower

Hey guys, I have grown for a while now and am comfortable with the process. However I did go away for a trip, was a bit lazy with my colonising jars and was a bit too reliant upon latter flushes, so i went from a lot of mushrooms to having to rebuild my cycle a bit.

But given the novelty of the hobby is past me, I would love to know how more experienced growers consolidate their process so they always have plenty on the go, without dedicating an entire room to mycology. Also, do you just grow one strain based off your own LC? I have grown ochra's basically the whole time.

At the moment I just use jars, then 11L Samla tubs for fruiting. But even the jars are reaching the point where I am gonna have to stack them or figure out a better way to incubate them. Would love to hear any input or suggestions from you guys.

Least annoying strain to harvest?

Hey guys, I have had a lot of success growing Ochra's and have that quite downpat. They are great however my only issue is picking them. They always end up with a bunch of thinner fruits particularly on the first flush, so I find my cakes really annoying and messy to harvest, particularly when there are side pins in later flushes.

What I wanna know is what is the best strain of cubes for ease of picking (i.e not a million smaller fruits, instead thicker ones). Do you guys have any favourites?

First world problems I know but I would appreciate your input.

Introspective Episodes

Hey fellas, are there any episodes you guys know of that have a bit more of that introspection/stories unrelated to comedy?

I quite enjoy the boys discussing their past dating mistakes, general life philosophy that kind of thing but couldn't find any posts with recommendations.

Thanks guys!
