West shore car washes.

What’s the deal with the car washes over here on the west shore?

Cloud 10, mod and shiny shell.

Why are they the least user friendly car washes around?

You cannot manage the car wash passes yourself. You have to email someone to get them to cancel.

Before moving over here we had mister car washes everywhere and they were 10/10 in terms of being able to manage it yourself.

Cloud10 pissed me off recently because I got a text from them to sign up for a chance to win an Airbnb gift card. Like don’t text me that shit.

I also did a car wash with them using a credit card that I don’t use anywhere else. I just use it for a car wash to keep the card active because it’s my oldest card and I don’t get any benefits from using it.

Literally had the number comprised which sucks and is suspicious.

Made to order bagel question

Breakfast bagel question

I always get a made to order breakfast bagel and I always ask them to not cut the bagel. I keep getting told they must cut the bagel. What’s the deal with this? It’s just the one location. Any other location I go to they either don’t cut it or don’t cut it if I ask.

This one location though, every single time they cut the bagel and I unwrap it and it’s literally falling apart. Each and every time.

I asked this morning “can you pretend you’re going to put it in the warmer up front because those aren’t cut”.

“I’m not allowed to not cut it”.

Why?

Question about every day sling 6l

I just bought a brand new Nikon d7500 with 18-140 lens. I’m looking for a new camera bag as I don’t have any and I really like the PD line of stuff and I really like this sling. So I’m getting either the 6l or 10l but I am trying to figure it out.

For the 6l. Would the d7500 with the 18-140 lens attached fit into the bag and still have room to also fit in an Anker 737 power bank and some spare batteries for the 7500?

I can’t tell by the pictures people post and no one has the bag in person to check out.

I am also going on vacation and this will be my only camera bag I have. So I might also throw in an osmo pocket and GoPro into the bag when I’m traveling. So that makes me wonder if I should just get the 10l version instead?

Can anyone help me get a better idea?

If I order from PD directly I get a discount but also, REI has the bag and I think they have a sale at the end of the month. So I could wait and order from them and get 20% off.

Custom domain email issues.

I have a brand new domain bought on cloudflare

I just set it up on fastmail.

I followed the instructions on fastmail and copied and pasted everything that it had pre done for me.

I pasted that into cloudflare.

Fastmail says

Your domain is correctly set up to send and receive mail!

The MX servers for your domain are set correctly: your email is hosted at Fastmail.

DKIM is correctly configured.

SPF is correctly configured.

If I use my Gmail and outlook address and email my new email with my custom domain at fastmail, that email arrives in fastmail.

If I reply to those emails. They never arrive back at gmail or outlook. Or anywhere. They don’t goto spam either. They just don’t arrive.

If I start a new email at fastmail with my new email and domain, it says it sent but they don’t arrive to anyone.

What am I doing wrong?

Edit

According to support it is because my account is still too new

Monthly vs year.

I want to get proton premium however I want to get a sale price. Would it make sense to pay monthly until the Black Friday deal, then let the monthly plan expire then buy the year or will it not allow me to do that?

Usenet forums question

So I saw that house of usenet has open registrations.

Still learning usenet and whatever. It made me think, can forums like that receive a letter to hand over user info for people that have downloaded from there?

Question about generator storage.

I have a brand new eu2200i. I’ve only used 89 zero ethanol gas.

I’m not going to be using until next month when I plan to do monthly start ups to make sure it’s working. However unless it storms again, then I’ll obviously be using it as normal.

I did its first oil change. I did it early, the manual says 20 hours. I did it at like 7. Then plan on doing it at 20. Then do it whenever it says.

However, since I was putting it away, I drained the fuel line. I can’t get the gasoline out that’s in the generator. I went to harbor freight and bought a hand pump siphon and it actually didn’t work. I turned it around incase it was put together backwards and it didn’t work. It blew gas into the tank, is that going to be a problem? I ended up giving up with the thought process of, I’m going to power it on every month and let it run 10-15 mins under load and eventually it’ll run out of gas.

I don’t know how much is in there, somewhere between a quarter and less than half a gallon of gas.

Do I need to do anything or since I’m going to dig it out once a month to run it, it should be good to go?

The manual only says about adding fuel stabilizer if 1 i’m using gas with ethanol or 2 storing it for longer neither of which I’m doing.

When I did the oil change, the manual says it takes 14oz. I have 12oz bottles of the Honda 10w-30 that I put in. 1 12 oz bottle filled it up to the threads which is where the manual and everyone on YouTube says it should be. I’m assuming it only took 12oz because there was some left over somewhere inside?

Stupid question but I want this thing to last for years without problems.

Sell me on a gobox 30.

REI has yetis on sale and I always wanted a go box.

I wanted a go box 30. Saw one in person and liked it however it’s smaller than I thought.

Was gonna buy a husky storage tote that’s 26 inches wide and 12 gallons.

Realized the go box 60 is only $40 more. So I ordered the gobox 60 from REI.

I plan on just throwing it in the trunk of my sedan (it’ll fit).

Just for extra work clothes, spare regular clothes. Medical bag. But it just seems like a lot of money for it. However, I just want it to last, like buy once cry once.

Is it stupid to get or are people still having problems with the latches breaking?
