Antique Store Regret
I saw this beautiful girl at the antique store and I am regretting not buying her. She’s absolutely stunning and I think she was a reasonable price as well. Does anyone know anything about her?

I love that my mom takes me antiquing every year for my birthday! It’s become one of my favorite traditions. Today we spent hours wandering through aisle after aisle of antiques when I spotted this lovely girl and immediately fell in love with her.
🎉
Her dress is absolutely stunning, and those little braids are just too cute. She’s from the Madame Alexander First Ladies line and is meant to represent Julia Grant. I have to admit, I didn’t even look at the box or her tag to see who the doll was supposed to be, until I got in the car-I was just completely drawn to how beautiful she is.
🩷
She made the perfect birthday find, and I couldn’t be happier to add her to my collection. Does anyone else have a birthday tradition like this, or do you go antiquing to celebrate special occasions? I’d love to hear about your favorite antique store finds!
I am absolutely in love with my TM #132! I ended up naming her Emory, and I think it suits her perfectly.
🌸
One of her new Etsy outfits finally arrived, and I couldn’t wait to put her in it. Of course, that meant we had to do a little garden photoshoot. It just felt right with this outfit!
🌼
I’m having so much fun dressing her up already. I have a feeling she’s going to become one of my favorite dolls.
Being home sick from work has one perk… I finally had time to unbox my new friend, TM #132! She’s even cuter in person than I expected, and we’ve been playing dress-up all day.
👗
I’m still waiting on a few outfits I ordered from Etsy, so this look is for sure temporary. I can’t wait to see how she looks once I have more outfits!
🩴
I also need help naming her; I’m leaning toward something androgynous that starts with a vowel. Right now my top pick is Emory, but I’d love to hear your suggestions!
🪻
One more question for anyone who has TM #132: do her bangs just need some time to settle after being in the hair net, or is there something I should do to help them lay forward? Right now they seem to want to stay pushed back.
🩵
I’d love to hear your favorite names, styling ideas, and any hair tips you have!
🦋
Not sure which flair to use, but I finally bought TM 132!
🎉
She hasn’t even shipped yet and I’m already planning outfits for her. I’ve seen so many cute restyles of her and every time I see one I like her even more.
💖
I’d love to see your TM 132s! How have you styled her? What outfits, colors, or aesthetics do you think suit her best?
🌸
Drop your photos, outfit suggestions, or links below. I need ideas while I sit here refreshing the tracking page every five minutes. 😂
Does anyone recognize this doll? I was going through family pictures and found this beautiful doll and trunk in a Christmas photo of my cousin.
It’s probably late 90’s or early 2000’s.
I paused when looking at it because it looks like my Stardust Classics dolls but I don’t recognize her.
I think she has such a sweet face.
Does anyone else feel like Sid from toy story when working on customs? I don’t even have a plan in mind. I just really wanted to do a reroot.
My Baby Anne doll finally has the dress she’s supposed to be wearing! She was a gift from my aunt and grandmother, and somewhere over the years her original dress disappeared. I always felt a little sad seeing her shelf-mate Audrey still wearing her original outfit while Baby Anne was missing hers.
A few weeks ago, Baby Anne’s dress popped up for sale, and I was lucky enough to snag it. I’m so happy to have her looking complete again.
If anyone has tips for restoring Audrey’s hair, I’d really appreciate the advice!

Okay, so I’m a little confused and hoping someone here can help identify her.
I recently picked up a Cloe doll at Dollar General. I bought her assuming she was a repro because I already own the original. But after I got home and took her out of the box, I noticed the neck stamp doesn’t look like the repro dolls I’ve seen—it looks more like an original Bratz neck stamp.
Now I’m wondering: did I somehow find an original doll that had been sitting around for 25 years, is she a fake, or am I completely off base and she’s actually a repro?
She didn’t come with any accessories, just the doll in the box wearing the outfit she has on now. I’ve included photos of the doll and her neck stamp. Any help identifying her would be greatly appreciated! 😊
Edit: it’s been about 6 months since I got her, so I don’t have the box anymore. In comparing her to my legit original, the clothing texture seems a bit off.
I’m trying to identify the origin of this doll pajama top/shirt and would love any info.
What I know:
It appears to be from the early-to-mid 2000s.
It has a pink fleece-like fabric with a small floral print, Peter Pan collar, and two bows on the front.
It closes with Velcro in the back.
There are no tags. (At least not on the one I inquired about)
The current owner thrifted it and doesn’t know where it came from.
What I’ve already tried:
Reverse image searching.
Searching Google, eBay, Etsy.
Looking through Baby Annabell, Baby Born, and Baby Chou Chou clothing.
Searching terms like:
“Zapf Creation doll pajamas”
“2000s doll pajama top”
“pink floral doll shirt with Peter Pan collar”
“Baby Annabell floral pajamas”
“Baby Chou Chou pajama outfit”
The shirt was photographed on an American Girl doll, but I’m fairly certain it is NOT an American Girl item. Based on the fit and construction, I suspect it may have originally belonged to a baby doll such as Baby Annabell, Baby Born, Baby Chou Chou, or another similar doll line.
Does anyone recognize the pattern, outfit, brand, or specific doll line this might have come from?
My aunt has been going through family photos since my grandma passed away. This week she sent me this one of my grandma (in the middle) and her sisters with their dolls. Many years ago, my grandma gifted me her doll and she has been my favorite doll in my collection since.
It has been a hot minute since I’ve posted about Desk Jeff, he’s dressed and ready for Pride. Desk Jeff has been moved to the filing cabinet next to my desk because I needed more space to work. Now he just sits and watches over me.
I’m so excited to have found this sub! Here’s a portion of my collection. This photo is a little older, so my display has changed quite a bit since then and the collection has definitely grown.
A lot of the vintage dolls originally belonged to my mom and aunt when they were children, which makes them especially meaningful to me. The Funko Pops are something my spouse and I have collected together over the years, and the perfume/cologne bottles are keepsakes from my grandparents.
My collection is a bit all over the place—in the best way. I collect porcelain dolls, American Girl dolls, Bratz, Barbie, Disney dolls, baby dolls, and Polly Pockets, along with a few other odds and ends that have found their way onto my shelves.
I’d love to hear what everyone here collects! If anyone has questions about anything in the photo, feel free to ask. I’ll try to post some updated collection photos soon.
Today I took Kit out for a birthday sundae, and I’m still not over how cute she looked.
🎁
She’s wearing a dress I bought for her on Etsy along with a little cherry hair clip I found, which felt perfect for the occasion.
🍒
The whole outfit ended up giving such sweet vintage summer vibes and honestly suits her personality so well.
📰
She looked absolutely adorable and I had way too much fun putting everything together for her birthday outing.
🍨
I’m keeping up with the emojis since everyone thought they were cute last time.
🩷
Barefoot garden walks, sunshine, and spring outfits — the perfect kind of day.
🌼
Here’s my full doll collection so far enjoying the warm weather together! I’d love to see your collections and everyone’s spring looks.
💛
Also I never know if the emojis are cheesy or not so I usually skip them but I think they look cute today.
🌞
I (mostly) finished my Kaya’s hair restoration! I still need to trim her ends a little to clean them up and buy/find her hair accessories, but I couldn’t wait any longer to take her outside for some golden hour pictures. She looks so happy, and I’m honestly really proud of how she turned out.
Thankfully, she was already in pretty good condition overall. I cleaned the sticky residue off her face and hands, restored and redid her hair, and she didn’t even need any limb tightening. It’s been so rewarding seeing her come back to life little by little.
I’m also thinking about making some custom jewelry myself while I look for her original pieces. If anyone has tips for handmade doll accessories or jewelry, I’d love the advice!
I know I already posted earlier today, but I’m honestly so happy with the progress on her restoration that I had to share another update. I finished a full detangle and did a hot water dip today, and her hair is already looking so much better. It’s still not quite as pin-straight as I want before I braid it, so I’ll probably do another cool water dip tonight and then carefully use a flat iron on the lowest setting.
I also realized my Kaya must’ve had soda or something spilled on her at some point. The hair near the top was really sticky and matted, and there’s a sticky line across her forehead plus some residue on her nose and hands. I sent my spouse out for some magic erasers, so hopefully that’ll clean the vinyl up nicely.
I’m genuinely amazed at how well she’s turning out so far. She already looks so much better than when I started, and I’m getting really excited to see the final result.
I didn’t get much done with my restoration project yesterday. Here is my sweet Kaya, half detangled. I’m going to do a hot water dunk on her once I’m done detangling. I’m hoping I can salvage her wig, she has some sparse places that I’m hoping to hide by re-braiding her.
First photo is half detangled
Second photo is right after taking her braids out
Third photo is when I realized she didn’t have 4 strand braids and instead each strand in her braid was a smaller braid
Just got my dream Kaya and I’m honestly obsessed
She arrived today and is in way better condition than I expected! I think she’ll be a pretty manageable restoration project, which makes me even more excited to get started. Her hair is currently in the cutest pair of 4-strand braids.
She does have a few marks (possibly bite marks?) that I’m not sure I’ll be able to fully fix, but overall she’s everything I’ve been hoping for. I’ve wanted her for so long, so this feels kind of surreal.
Planning to document the whole restoration process—would love any tips or advice from people who’ve worked on Kaya before!
My Mini Me’s wig glue finally dried, so of course I had to celebrate by getting her dressed for the new season with a full spring/summer makeover. This is the first outfit that really shows off her leg tattoos, and I’m obsessed with how she turned out.
She’s had the full custom treatment—rewigged, eyes swapped, limbs tightened, body cleaned/restuffed, pierced, and beauty marks added. So many hours went into making her look like me, and I love this little diva so much.
What’s your favorite detail on a custom doll?
