Heading to Good Things Festival in Melbourne solo this year…
Just wondering if anyone else is going by themselves and might be keen to meet up.
I’m 37, so maybe a little older than some of the crowd, but definitely still young enough to lose my voice

Every single company I have worked for has followed the same shit pattern.

A few months of enthusiasm, then something “bad” happens.
Restructuring, loss of profit, something. Not one company I have worked at has stayed good.. Is it actually a “thing”for companies to always run on stress? Like it gives them a reason to make people redundant or justify anything that isn’t good for the staff? Is there any industry that was always on a high?

Anyone who has actually gone through it? Was it worth it? Any issues booking the tests here in SA? Cheers.

Kids on the train to Gawler today were being hectic, fighting and making some pretty racist comments.
Credit to the guys who stepped in and stopped it. Good on them for not just standing by…

I’ve been catching the train for about 8 weeks now, and this is the first time I’ve seen anything like this.

One bad trip? Honestly, I’d say that’s a pretty good outcome.

So my contract finished a couple months ago and for the first time in a while I had no job…few years ago I would have panicked and grabbed anything just to have money coming in but this time I was in a better spot so I could wait. I spent 2 months applying only for stuff I thought I could actually be good at, not just anything and honestly the thing that kept me going was thinking about toxic workplaces…

They mess you up more than we admit…follow us home, they make us think we are the problem.
Anyway.. I got a new job. A role I actually wanted and I’m going to my 4 week.

I know not everyone can wait for the right opportunity but even then please keep trying .. you know this is not forever and something better is coming!
