Alhamdulillah, my Suzuki Swift’s headlight has finally been replaced under warranty.
For those who remember, my previous post was about the headlight developing an internal crack by itself while the outer surface was completely smooth with no visible impact. The light costs around Rs 268000
First of all, thank you to everyone who advised me to properly pursue the warranty claim, push professionally, and convince them instead of giving up immediately. Your suggestions genuinely helped.
A lot of people were also saying “rehne do”, “claim nahi hogi”, “Suzuki kabhi replace nahi karegi”, etc. But honestly, this is not how things work. Learn to stand up for your rights as a customer. Meray halal ke paisay thay why should I let it go when the car was practically brand new and there was no accident or visible external damage?
I properly followed up on the issue, asked them for written rejection reasons if they were refusing the claim, and made it clear that I was prepared to take the matter further legally through consumer court if needed. After proper inspection, they could not find any external impact on the headlight and eventually approved the replacement under warranty.
Credit where it’s due I appreciate Suzuki Airport and Suzuki Motors for ultimately handling the matter professionally and replacing the headlight. The whole process took around 2 weeks, but everything was sorted properly in the end.
So sometimes, you just have to push professionally and not accept every “no” immediately.
