I want to buy boots that are 6" rather than my currently used 8" height boots, what exactly is the minimum height?

I happen to be on the FDNY list at a low number and have asked journeymen and foreman for advice and universally they all tell me to do FDNY over IW or do both. This would be because work is always guaranteed, pension, and retirement only requires 20 years of service; Most do 25 years for a better pension

However assuming I work 2080 hrs as a apprentice you will make only 13 thousand less [Gross 92,768] than an top pay firefighter [Gross 105,146] assuming you don't take your topping out [Gross 108,056] or don't get any over time which you often do. And to be fire overtime is required for fireman so they can range to 120 to 130 thousand gross, And often the same can be said about IW just as a apprentice.

I wouldn't mind this trade-off of work not always being there and a longer tenure. But the 3 days on 4 days off is really the selling point to me. Why haven't more unions other that FDNY, as far as I'm aware, attempt to make this possible for the trade unions especially in New York City?

To be real, to see this in the future contracts maybe as an additional alternative to 4 days 10 hours at least and not a full replacement of the 5 days 8 hours, would be a true blessing.

I got a size large and it still sits high on my head. Doest anyone know any custom deeper suspension that I can get?
