yo just dropping some visuals from my solo vanilla minecraft short film The Wandering Lantern(i wrote 'lamp' by mistake in the image). shot everything on my ancient laptop so this was a pain but worth it lol. these are the village opening scene and the main dreamy tree location. super challenging but the vibes are coming together nicely. what do you think?

ok so i’ve got this story idea called “door to peace”.

genre: fantasy, adventure, emotional

it’s about a normal student whose close friend suddenly disappears after getting obsessed with this rumor about a strange door that shows up in random places, like no one really knows if it’s real or just a myth, but the mc starts finding weird clues his friend left behind and it leads him to actually finding the door, and when he enters it the whole story flips into this unknown world that’s not peaceful at all, more like broken and dangerous, and now his goal is to find his friend while figuring out what the door really is and why people who chase it don’t come back, so it’s kinda mystery plus adventure with some emotional stuff and a bit of dark tone, and i’m confused if i should first make a short pilot to test if people vibe with it or just go all in and start the full series, what would you guys do

Lately I’ve been noticing something really unfair. Small creators put hours into making original content, but it barely gets any reach. Meanwhile, reposted or low-effort content blows up. I’ve experienced this myself, and it’s honestly demotivating. It feels like no matter how much effort you put in, the algorithm just doesn’t give you a chance in the beginning. Since a lot of us feel this, I actually made a petition about improving support for small creators. If you agree, you can check it out

PREQUEL

This is a spaceship.

Not a small one.

A full city.

Buildings rise high like they used to on Earth. Roads stretch across districts. Schools, hospitals, markets, parks. Everything is here. Everything a normal city needs.

But it never feels normal.

Above, there is a sky. Blue, calm, wide.

But it is not real.

If you stare it long enough, you will notice,

A slight flicker.

A small delay.

Like something trying to copy what a sky should look like.

People noticed it years ago.

Now no one talks about it.

Twenty years ago, humanity lost its home.

No one clearly remembers how.

Some say war.

Some say something worse.

The government gave one answer.

We survived. That is enough.

So people stopped asking questions.

They built lives here.

They studied. Worked. Fell in love. Had families.

They moved on.

Or at least, they tried to.

CHAPTER 1

“HAHAHAHAHAHA! So you little shitty brat think you can defeat me?”

The voice echoed in a dark space.

The knight stood still.

Huge. Unnatural.

His armor looked like it once belonged to something noble. Now it was broken. Plates were bent out of shape. Edges were chipped. Dark stains covered it, thick and uneven.

Blood.

Not fresh.

Not dry either.

Something in between.

His sword rested against the ground.

SCRAPE.

He dragged it slowly.

“I am not gonna lose to a hippopotamus,” a voice replied,

Calmly.

Almost bored.

The knight turned.

“Oho,” he laughed. “Kids know to talk, huh!”

He moved forward.

Each step felt heavy.

The sword lifted.

Aimed for that voice.

Then came down fast.

Too fast for something that size.

But it hit nothing.

“My mum asked me to bring 2kg of meat,” the voice continued.

The knight froze for a second.

The voice was behind him now.

“…but I lost the money during our meet.”

A sharp sound cut the air.

It was metal.

The knight’s body jerked.

“How…?”

“It is over now.”

The space filled with blue light.

Everything blurred.

“HEY YOU SLEEPHAG! WAKE UP!!!”

A sharp hit landed on Shiro’s face.

His eyes snapped open.

He blinked Twice.

A blue cylindrical bot hovered right in front of him.

Its digital face stared directly into his eyes.

“Don’t you have work today?!” it said.

Shiro did not answer immediately.

He stared at the ceiling.

The dream still felt close.

He slowly lifted his hand and grabbed the bot mid air.

Then threw it straight out of the window.

“I WAS WINNING THAT FIGHT!!” he shouted.

Outside, the bot’s voice came back weak.

“But it is your uni time…”

Shiro froze.

He sat up instantly.

“…YOU SHOULD HAVE STARTED WITH THAT!!”

Shiro was eighteen. He was a student, a developer, and a part-time mechanic, but more than anything, he was someone who loved to dream. His dark brown hair was always messy, and his purple eyes had a strange glow, as if they were hiding something special inside.

Morning light filled the room.

The kind of light that made everything feel safe.

Shiro rubbed his eyes and stood up.

His room looked the same as always.

Messy bed. Books lying around. Tools scattered near the wall.

Nothing had changed.

The bot floated back in slowly.

Slight damage on its side.

“You should treat your support unit better,” it said.

“You should talk properly to your lord.” Shiro replied.

He grabbed his bag and started packing.

“Reminder,” the bot said, “your homework is incomplete.”

Shiro didn’t look up. “No, I finished it. I just decided not to submit it for fun.”

“That makes no sense.” It said.

“Exactly,” he stood up, grabbing his bag. “Welcome to my life.”

From the table, he picked up a sandwich.

A small note was stuck on it.

Bring 2kg of meat after uni. Feast tonight!

Shiro smiled a little.

“Yeah, yeah…”

He took a bite and walked out.

The metro station was crowded.

People moved in lines, pushing forward, trying to catch their train.

Shiro stepped inside just before the doors closed.

Inside, it was packed.

Students stood with bags on their shoulders.

Office workers held onto poles, eyes glued to their phones.

Some people talked quietly.

Some looked half asleep.

Everything felt normal.

The train started moving.

A soft hum filled the space.

Shiro stood near the door, holding a pole.

His bot floated beside him, silent.

Outside, the city passed by.

Tall buildings. Narrow streets. Layers of roads crossing each other.

In the distance, the edge of the structure curved slightly.

A reminder.

This was not a planet.

A child pressed his face to the glass.

“Mom… was Earth bigger than this?”

The woman hesitated.

“…I think so.”

Her voice was unsure.

Shiro heard it.

He looked outside again.

For a moment, he tried to imagine it.

A real sky.

A sky that did not flicker.

A sky without limits.

Twenty years ago, Earth was lost, and even its size has faded into doubt, reduced to guesses and quiet “I think so” answers from those who were never sure to begin with, while the truth was erased and reshaped into something easier to live with, something small enough to fit inside this ship, so people stopped asking and chose to believe in a sky that flickers if you stare too long, because remembering too much feels more dangerous than forgetting everything.

“…weird,” he whispered.

The bot looked at him but said nothing.

The train moved deeper into the city.

The hum stayed steady.

People swayed slightly with the motion.

Then something changed.

A flicker in the sky.

Not lightning.

Not clouds.

The sky itself shifted.

Like a frame skipped.

Shiro narrowed his eyes.

“You seeing this?”

“…maybe a glitch again.,” the bot replied quietly.

No one else reacted.

Or maybe they had not noticed yet.

Outside, a building ahead tilted slightly.

CRACK.

It folded inward.

People screamed.

The train shook as brakes hit hard.

Metal screeched.

“What is happening?!”

“Is this an attack?!”

“How is this even possible?!”

The sky flickered again.

Longer this time.

The air felt heavy, hard to breathe. Shiro did not move, his eyes locked outside as the bridge came into view. A bent building beside it stood crooked and quiet.

Then it collapsed.

Concrete broke apart. Steel snapped. Dust filled the air.

From it, a figure stepped out.

A 50 meter knight.

It walked to the bridge and stopped.

Its sword dragged behind it slowly.

SCRAAAAAPE.

The sound echoed through the open space.

It felt wrong.

The knight lifted its head.

Slowly.

Like it already knew where to look.

Its gaze locked onto the train.

Onto Shiro.

His chest tightened.

“So you came again.”

The voice was low.

Deep.

It did not need to be loud.

Everyone heard it.

“Same target everytime.”

Shiro’s fingers tightened around the pole.

“What…?”

The knight stepped forward.

The bridge cracked under its weight.

Dust fell from below.

The knight raised its sword once, and the street ahead vanished in a single sweep. Four buildings were cut through clean, then folded into themselves like broken paper. The shockwave followed after, snapping glass, ripping walls, turning the road into a storm of concrete and dust.

People didn’t even get time to scream at first. Then it all came at once.

“Why is it coming here!”

“Move, move, MOVE!”

“Don’t look back, just run!”

But running meant nothing. The knight kept walking through the collapse, slow and steady, as if the destruction was just something happening around it, not because of it.

A second swing came.

This time a whole block disappeared.

Bridges broke in half. Elevated roads dropped with the trains still on them. The sound of metal twisting filled the air, followed by the distant crash of everything hitting the ground at once. The sky turned dull with dust, swallowing sunlight.

A woman grabbed her child near the edge of the street.

“Stay close to me, don’t let go!”

“I can’t see anything!”

“Just keep running, please!”

A shadow passed over them.

The knight didn’t stop. It moved through the crowd now. Not chasing, Just continuing forward.

People tried to climb over rubble. Some slipped and didn’t get up again. Others vanished under falling debris as the next impact hit behind them. Every few seconds, another part of the city gave in.

People pushed.

Screamed.

Some fell.

Some cried.

Metro doors were forced open.

Shiro stayed still.

His legs would not move.

The knight kept looking at him.

Only him.

Something inside him shifted.

The noise faded.

His breathing slowed.

His body moved before he could think.

He ran.

Glass shattered as he jumped out of the train.

Cold air rushed past him.

Below, chaos spread across the bridge.

Behind him, the knight laughed.

Suddenly,

The sound of helicopters filled the air.

Searchlights cut through the smoke.

“ALL UNITS, LISTEN!” the voice cracked through the radios, sharp and raw over the rotor noise. “YOU SEE IT, YOU FIRE IT! NO FEAR, NO HESITATION, NO THINKING!”

“That thing is not a target anymore, it is a disaster walking!”

“IF YOU WAIT EVEN ONE SECOND, EVERYTHING BELOW DIES WITH YOU!”

“LOCK ON AND FIRE! FIRE EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT!!”

BAM! BAM!

Missiles hit the knight.

Explosions followed.

Smoke covered its body.

For a second, everything paused.

A light of hope appeared.

Then the smoke cleared.

The knight stood there.

Unharmed.

Then it started to move.

One helicopter moved closer.

Too close.

“Hold formation! DO NOT BREAK LINE!!!” the voice screamed through the radios.

The knight swung its sword.

The helicopter split in two.

Fire burst in the sky.

Pieces fell down.

People screamed louder.

Soldiers rushed in from below.

They fired everything they had.

The knight walked forward.

Step by step.

Unstoppable.

One swing.

Bodies dropped.

Another step.

More followed.

It was not a battle.

It was one sided.

Shiro watched from below.

Frozen.

“This… is not normal…”

The knight turned again.

Its eyes found him.

“Haha… running again?”

Shiro stepped back.

Fear returned.

But that wasn’t the end. It was only the beginning of the real nightmare.

So I post my chapters here asking for actual feedback and somehow it always turns into “this is AI generated” IT IS NOT AI!! I WROTE IT MYSELF!! BUT YEAH SURE IF IT IS NOT SUPER BASIC OR BORING THEN IT MUST BE AI APPARENTLY! LIKE FR, I come here asking for feedback on story, pacing, characters, and everyone turns into FBI MODE “THIS IS AI DETECTED” instead of actually reading it LIKE BRO I AM LITERALLY HERE TRYING TO IMPROVE AS A WRITER AND ALL I GET IS PEOPLE DOING DETECTIVE WORK INSTEAD OF GIVING ACTUAL CRITIQUE!!

If it was AI I wouldn’t be here asking for improvement advice like a normal human trying to get better!!

At the end, i guess..it was my mistake to post on this sub

Hey, I’m starting my first webtoon on Canvas and I’m totally new to this. What are the biggest mistakes beginners make? And what should I focus on first so I don’t mess it up?

Any real advice is welcome 🙏

Just finished AOT and now everything feels empty 💀
Need short anime (12–50 eps) with strong story and good characters. Thinking about Code Geass, but suggest more.
