Doctors office was Crozer, in now Penn but they don't have my records

I know when Crozer closed down there was a lot of talk about getting your medical records and it was a big hassle. I was thrilled to hear my PCP's office was acquired by Penn Medicine - I figured I get to keep my same doctor and don't need to worry about transferring records as I'm sure that'll be done behind the scenes.... well, that didn't happen.

Is this common? Is there anything I can do to still get those records? My doctors office just said nothing was transferred over from Crozer, they basically just started fresh with the Penn system.

My story of how I peaked at the age of 46.

This is more of a "Dear Diary" thing but figured why not share my journey...

Growing up, I was very short, very skinny and barely an ounce of athletic ability. I played baseball, football, basketball, wrestling, gymnastics, ETC. Started playing hockey with some other kids on my street with roller blades in the early 90's. Got in to ice hockey in the late 90's, mostly because it was the one sport that didn't require running. Played a year of high school, a year of college, a few scattered seasons in a beer league and some groups of guys that just rent a rink out once a week or once a month. No matter who I played with, I was probably one of the worse skilled players but I knew the game and wouldn't seem out of place, just wasn't that good.

As I got out of my college years, I put on some weight and fell out of shape. Most of the time, I was zapped after the 1st shift. In league games, I was usually on defense because I couldn't keep up with the skating a center or winger required. When I played defense, I was an extreme stay-at-home defensemen. Rarely did I cross center ice. I was that slow/lazy/out-of-shape, on top of not being very skilled.

So a few years ago as I start to enter my mid-40's, I decide I'm getting older and if I don't get in shape now, I might never do it. So I start dieting, I start walking or using an elliptical. After a few months I started working in weights and walking on an incline. All in all, I dropped over 75 lbs. So now instead of being dead after the 1st shift, I can at least get 2 or 3 in.

So I started doing something I never did before and what I always avoided - I started jogging. Nothing crazy, just a 12 or 13 minute per mile pace. After a few months, I can now do multiple miles. I start training for a 10-mile race but resting after hockey was getting in the way of training meaning my legs were not resting enough. So I had to give up hockey for a month or two.

The race is now over and I can get back to playing hockey again. After the first few times out there's not much of a difference at first but each time I feel better and better. I'm playing better and better. I'm out skating people that used to blow passed me, I'm out skating college kids half my age. When everyone is dying towards the end, I'm still fresh. Not only that, I'm barely breaking a sweat. But the best is the goals. Pre-exercise I'm lucky to get more than 1 shot on net and believe me, it's an easy save. If I was able to get the puck off the ground, it certainly didn't have any steam on it.

This past weekend as we were warming up I was thinking how the prior week was probably the best I have ever played, there's no way I can top that. Then I did. One play I was the trailing man on a 3 on 2, puck carrier dropped it to me (despite me yelling to shoot), I was able to drag around the defensemen the ring a lazet over the goalies glove. Another shot I was able to get off the blocker side post and in. Im finding loose pucks around the net. I even went goalline to goalline, stick handled through the defense and on a breakaway, got stuffed by the goalie this time.

The guys in the locker room think I've been hustling them. I've played with them for about a year and believe I've been holding back on them until now. Its a weird feeling that for 25 years I always felt like just a skater taking up a spot. My only contribution was a roster spot, nothing more. Now I feel like not only a contributor, but someone that other player count on. Not that we get that serious but we try to keep score and of course we all want to win but instead of the team trying to cover up my defects, I'm working to help someone else.

Anyway, getting in shape has been the best thing I have ever done, for me and my family. People in my age are constantly looking for a magic pill to reverse time, all is needed is hard work and exercise. It took my almost 2 years of dieting and exercise but it's paying off 10x now. I look forward to playing ever time Im having so much fun. It's hard to even out into words. I just wanted to get this feeling written down as best I could. Who knows where I'll be in another 2 years.... hopefully having as much fun as I am right now. 🤞

Weed makes me a better hockey player

To start, I am not a good hockey player despite playing for 30 years...

I started playing with a new group on Friday nights. Just a pick up game, we don't even really keep score but it's mostly older guys who's been playing all their life, some played juniors when younger and some college kids mixed in. Anyway. One of the guys is a real loudmouth and likes to act tough so about 2 months ago we got into it and a few fists were thrown. No big deal but it really bothered me afterwards that I let him get under my skin since Im usually very laid back and non-confrontational.

The following week in an effort to make sure I stay calm, I smoked a little weed before hand just to keep loose. Well, not only did I stay calm, everything slowed down for me. I wasn't panicking when I got the puck, Im seeing passing lanes, I'm stick handling through defensrmen. And I get better every week.

After playing last Friday some guys wanted to know what I changed, I'm like a different player.... I told them "I started smoking weed so I don't fight Marko again." 🤣

Outdoor Ovens - Prep pizza inside or outside?

What's your process look like? Especially for multiple pizzas.

I will usually prep all pizzas inside on screens. Then launch and cook one by one. But I have a problem with the dough sticking to the screen so will be trying with a wooden peel. Haven't figured out how I'm going to cook multiple pizzas with 1 peel.

I guess prep first pizza, launch, prep 2nd pizza while 1st one cooks, take out 1st pizza with metal peel, launch 2nd pizza, repeat.

My last pizza - Half pepperoni.

Looking for any recommendations for a doctor in the Penn Medicine network to address a pretty severe Hiatal Hernia.

Thanks in advance!

My wife and I are trying to find ways to lower our electric usage. So aside from the 3 machines I have running already, I load up an older one with HomeAssistant and get some smart energy-tracking outlets. Obviously, my 'self hosted' setup is high on the list so we're thinking of building one beefy PC to do it all instead on 4.

What kind of specs would you think I need to run a PC running a media server with sonarr, radarr, serr, etc, docker desktop with a bunch of containers (immich being the most needy) and home assistant?

Really enjoying Northern Lights in both flower and cart form that are both high in Terpinolene. I don't get that spaced out, stoned feeling with it but just more relaxed and in a pretty good mood. It's great when Im doing shit around the house or yard work.

Any other strains with this is the dominate terp?

I had an idea to have a video picture frame continuously show favorite sports moments in my sports bar themed basement. So...

I got a digital picture frame from Amazon for like $50. It has an app that you can upload photos or videos up to 15 seconds long but the videos I want to play are several minutes. I was able to manually import them via USB stick and was great. Friends and family liked it so much that they wanted one too so I was able to make a backup and copy over to a 2nd frame and so on.

So that's all good until there's a new video I add. I add it to mine, back up again then have to take the USB stick to someone else house to restore the backup.

Here's where I'm stuck and not sure how to proceed (or if this is even possible)... Since these are essentially Android tablets with the frame software running on top, is there any way to get these frames to pull from a self hosted platform some way? I thought I saw somewhere that immich could do this but I just got it set up and not seeing much that fits this, although I'm still learning.

Any thoughts or ideas to get me in the right direction?
