While continuing my mission of culling a town of zombies head-on, I meet an Npc whom I never encounter, or maybe I just killed before and he gave me an escort mission to burn down a Restaurant in a nearby village. When we got there, he just charged at the evolved zeds past my squad with his weak ass melee build with no armour because I can't control him even thou he is following me! I barely keep him alive to burn down stupid building and immediately he charged a zombie survivor and since his next mission was to beat up Food Person for no Reason I just let him die cause he was just a maniac anyway and his motivation is just petty evil anyway since I'm role-paying a morally good characther for once. He sounded rude as well.

Finnaly decided to start what i have set out to do, which is to wipe out a town of With evolved zeds head on with an NPC Army. So far, my squad of 3 took out 7% before we had to retreat cuase they were seriously injured tanking for me, and on had both arms broken. My strategy was to fight in open space while mostly sniping specifically every dangerous zombie like hulks, shockers, and toxic gas zeds while the Npcs were taking our most of them out with melee When there are no more such zeds to be seen, I would join them in melee combat. I also had a molotov and 2 grenades just in case.

Land vehicles specifically cause the only vehicles i made in the past were wooden boats.

Random npc spawned while I was visiting a place I had been to multiple times to get some vehicle parts and I recruited him first try and he has as much positive opinions as my started npc that took in game 3 months for to get them to be very trusting.

For context, I'm washing 190 layered kevlar panels and 2500 synthetic fabric patches I dismantled from the gear of the military zombies so I can upgrade my gambeson into kevlar gambeson. Was gonna do a kevlar jumpsuit, but they take 5 time longers.

Gotten lucky and gotten this from the zombie horde from a military hellipad nearly died but clutched it with an unstable rift to teleport and a stick of dynamite. Gotten a lot of grenades and MRE rations as well as enough kevlar panels to upgrade my factions gamberson into kevlar jumpsuits.

Spent I game months slowly working on these npcs and hours of afk craftings as preparation on exterminating the town next to my spawn head on cause I'm bored of using fire and roof climbing every time. Just need to get more ammunition for my guns so i can take out the elite zombie. It's summer 81 and it the longest I gone without raisinga town or village hopefully I dint grind for nothing as we lose immediately

Immersion ruined

Today, I learned that exploring the mines sucks. The zombie miners were a non-threat, there were gas vents but gasmask are easy to get but the sinkholes were annoying to deal with , and the lava rifts that I had to squeeze through really quickly drain my health no matter how carefully I tried. I ended up having to go back up to rest and heal a lot when I went half health. Fought a puppy that exploded into a tentacle monster, which was not that hard since my character at this point is an intermediate martial artist with cocaine. Gotten an artifact that summons 2 bees and gives 3 dex passively that I shall call bees knees (possibly has unknown debuff attached )so and a bunch of acetylene tanks. I'm never doing mine exploration agaun it was 3 floors of pain, and neither should you unless you're prepared or a try hard.

Went and used the debug menu to mutate a default character to all the mutation categories and test them all individually just to check them out, and here is my opinions

Alpha-boring superhuman ,Disintegration is the biggest Downside countered only by fast healer trait

Beast - good at fighting only but can't wear armour

Bear-Super is tanky and strong but needs high kal

Cow- Tanky and strong,Can eat grass

Feline- Catgirl

Lupine- Werewolf

Bird,Fey,Mouse,Rat - Very versatile but very low health and carry capacity

Snail- Slow but offers nothing apart of acid related abilities

Slime- You become slime

Frog - Pretty decent at fighting and mobility and built-in water purifier, amphibious

Rabbit -can eat grass ,very fast

Fish- Brutal shark that is incredible in the water

Crab- Slow ,slightly tanky , Claws get in the way,can breathe in the water but is slow in water as well

Medical- Horrorific prototype

Chimera - Killing machine that can never stop killing and mutating

Mycus- You become a Mycus not helpful in the slightest except from spreading spores and not being attacked by fungal monsters

Lizard - Very strong lizard

Raptor-Slighty is weaker than lizard but is faster and more venomous

Troglobite - Very strong but can go out in the day

Plant- You can stay still during the day to not starve to death

Cephalopod- Highest Intelligence, Great in hand to hand combat

Spider-Cool ass Spider.

Don't know what the mermaid thing is about thou

All you need is his hammer and multitool.As well, 4 planks and 16 nails

deally, you should have a parkour master or ladder with you to get out

Step 1 - Get a ladder

Step 2 - Climb onto roof

Step 3 - contruct a sky frame on above the corner of the room or on the edge to clip into the wall or when the roof is incompatible to construct a skyframe like in the example above

Step 4 - Climb down

Step 5 - Figure out how to get out

Honest got bored and started working on making fanart of my character if it survives a year,this is unrelated to the question just curious and bored.

Drank some beer went out to the river to go fishing in a spot in the middle of the river with some pike in it and on the way there spotted a giant carp and salmon ,Luckily they just charge at me so they were easy pickings Saving my characther from sitting in a boat dfor 6 hours in the middle of summer :D (it's mutated meat but I can still feed that to my npcs)

I always hated the spider swarms in this game due to experience, so I really wanted to get rid of a nest at the river bank near my base safely. So while brainstorming, I remembered I took a floatation vest from my followers, and most monsters dont swim. So I swam to the bank with no armour and made sure there wasn't a monster in the water like a diving beetle. I had lvl 4 piercing and lvl 3 melee with a steel spear I forged, so it was just a matter of luring them to the river. I could probably use this strat in the labs or towns if there is a pool and other situations without issue if im not against ranged or swimming enemies ,near deep water.
