Hotel inside or outside !

So I’m planning on getting my bf tickets for his birthday. We are 3 hours away so we’d have to get a hotel. I’m planning on booking for 3 nights. So we could go there and go straight to the hotel, then spend 2 days at Alton towers, then home the next morning. With the hotels in the park the prices are £600 plus. Although I’d love to get him this and it would be really ideal to stay there, I just can’t fathom paying this when the Travelodges are like £30 a night😂🤭

Can anyone recommend hotels nearby that are really close distance, not sure any are walking distance? I don’t mind getting an uber to and from the hotel to the park but don’t want to be spending a lot on it.

Or am I best just spending out and getting a hotel in the park?

Thoughts on Cameron 💙 (boy)

(Posted this in another group too)
It’s the ONLY name we both agree on. Runners up was Felix then Caleb. Partner changed his mind on Felix last minute and we think Caleb is a bit too American. (We’re uk I’ve never heard of a Caleb here) it’s not just that tho, it just doesn’t feel 100% for me

Looks like it’s probably gonna be Cameron so we wanted some thoughts :)

also if we use Cameron (or Caleb) we are gonna use a J middle name so a possible nickname could be cj.

Popular or average names that you HATE and why?

Had an interesting conversation about this with my partner last night and wanted to hear some more on here. Personally for me it’s Arthur, Arlo and Ottilie, or any double barrelled name!
You?

Thoughts on my girls names

In order of my fav to least.

Jasmine (not a fan of the nickname Jazz tho, would prefer Jass or just the full name)

April (would only use if she was born in the month tho)

Melody

Olivia (don’t like this but including it because it’s my partners fav)

Alyssa

Thoughts on the name Blake

I used to hate this name but it’s grown on me now that I am pregnant.

I’m from uk, does this name sound chavvy?

We also like Caleb and Callum
I’m still not fully onboard with Callum (bfs pick) as it’s really popular where I am.

Opinions on my names

What do you think of the name Autumn for a girl !
And Ruben for a boy.

(Plss don’t mention the sandwhich reference! I’m in the uk and all my my family and friends who I’ve told haven’t even heard of a Reuben sandwhich so don’t think it’s such a big thing here🤣)

Also need more suggestions for my list thank youuu

(Especially people in uk) what do you think of Felix

I want to use a name that’s not TOO common, but also not unique to the point it raises eyebrows. I like Felix. I want to know what you’d think of if you heard the name, what would be your first thought? Or would you not think anything.

My partner is absolutely laid back about me choosing his first name as long as the middle name can be Connor. Felix Connor!

What do you think?
Open to new suggestions !

Thoughts on these abbreviations ?

So we have 2 names we are pretty certain on for our boy (including middle name)

We have
Daniel John or Asa John.

John will 100% be the middle name

At the moment we’re pushing toward Daniel as my partner doesn’t “love” Asa. Nor my parents. But could go either way still!

We are thinking of using the abbreviations Dj or Aj for a nickname, just wanted some opinions on these as I’ve heard Cj a lot, Jj, Aj etc but I don’t think I’ve heard Dj.
When I say it i pretty much just think of a music Dj🤣 so not sure whether to just go for your normal Danny / Danno or use Dj. Or even just use Daniel as it is.

(I know Danno isn’t a common nickname but we are from Liverpool uk and it’s quite common to get nicknames such as Danno, for example my partner is Steven but gets called Stevo, and we have a friend called Wilson but he gets called Willow🤣) not sure about other areas in the UK but it’s a big thing here.

For Asa John, we will have no worries using Aj.
Just wanted some thoughts and opinions :)
