We are naming our son Forrest and need a middle name <3

We have decided on Forrest :)

We need a middle name. We’re in the uk btw so pls don’t mention the kkk associations as we are well and truly set on Forrest now :) nothing was enough to put us off.

We need a middle name! So far we have thought of Forrest John and Forrest Cole but nothing really hit the spot yet!

We are having a boy so preferably something masculine.

Thoughts on boy name idea💙

My partner loves Jay and I love Asa, I’m not big on Jay and my partner hates Asa😂 that’s where the idea came from originally.

So we came up with Jace, tho I don’t think I’ve ever heard this on a child I think it gives me more dog name vibes 😂 thoughts?

We both have completely different styles so it’s been really hard coming up with a name, but we both like Jace at the moment. We’ve thought of loads of other variants like Jason, Jamie, Jacob etc but always one of us not liking it

Would you still use your fav name if your best-friend has just used it !

Gutted that our best friend has just used our top baby name :(

Backstory:

She has only been a close friend of mine probably for a year? But I met her and her partner through my boyfriend, he has been friends with them for probably well over a decade as him and the husband met in school! (Now in 30s). So pretty close friends!

She fell pregnant way before me, and has now had her son. Im no where near that stage. But we knew we were both pregnant together :)

We didn’t really discuss names together, but we both knew we were having boys. Me and my partner have had a name top of our list for a while now, and they have used it😫 I know it’s not the end of the world but my gut sunk when I found out.

Obviously tho I don’t feel like they “stole” the name or that my partner gave them the idea secretly because the name is an incredibly popular name so I’m pretty sure we just have the same taste. I don’t feel like they’d be “mad” about us also using it but I feel like it would be a little bit weird for us to use it, and it’s also kind of ruined the name for me now because when I think of it I just think of their boy. (Yes they also posted photos of the baby and the name reveal over every social media) not that it matters, but we have the same group of friends so everyone will now know their son as Charlie.(yes the name is Charlie btw)

Has anyone experienced this! My partner still wants to use the name despite this, but I don’t think it would be fair, especially given the fact our boys will most likely be friends. Our next choice is Henry.

Is it just me or are Phas servers completely dead now.

I went from having 8-11 pages of lobby’s to now 2-3. And I made my own public server and waited about 20 mins and no one joined. I’m in uk on European servers. This is now a common occurrence, even when I go online at 6pm to 8pm (like the peak time for gamers) it’s still dead.

Mother in law insists on using her baby name

My MIL insists we name the baby after her husband who’s passed away, his name was Rodney. I laughed when she said this as I thought it was a joke but she was being serious. (Pics of our messages attached below in comment, I CANT make this shit up)

At a push, I don’t mind using it as a potential middle name. Only to shut her up as I don’t even like the name, plus Julian Rodney sounds horrid. My partner also said it feels inappropriate using his dad’s name for his son. He’s voiced this to her but she won’t listen. We want to call our son Julian Cole (surname). She constantly says this is a stupid name and that it sounds feminine. My partner is going to speak to her again but he works nights for the fire service so is already stressed as it is.

I’ve tried to be soo patient and polite with her but I’m at my wits. I don’t want to cut my son from his grandmother but she’s not leaving me much choice

Help on ticket transfer.

I bought tickets off this girl on Facebook. The tickets are legit she sent me videos, screen recording, I google image searched all of them to make sure they weren’t ai or from the internet. Her Facebook is legit as she has a ton of pics from 2010 to now, and I’ve found all her other socials. I also google image searched her photos to see if they were from google. I paid her £100 bank transfer with “goods and services”. She said because I chose “goods and services” that she won’t get the money for 2-3 days. And that I should have chose family and friends.

She transferred the tickets to my account and I accepted them, but they aren’t on my ticket wallet untill she confirms this again for a final time. Since I’ve accepted them, she can’t get them back either way, all she can do is approve.

I rang my bank and they said the recipient will have gotten the money and they could see it’s left my account and gone into a new account. But she won’t approve my tickets as she’s saying the money is still “pending” into her account. She then said she rung her bank and they told her it’s “pending” but she will get the money. She won’t approve my ticket transfer until it’s in her account.

I’m very aware of scams and I know what to look out for with them, I can’t see this being a scam as I know the tickets exist. She’s transferred them, I’ve accepted, but now she won’t approve.

Does anyone know what I can do about this will ticket master approve them? I accepted the transfer so they’re my tickets?

Has anyone moved from London to Liverpool

Has anyone moved from London to Liverpool and how do you feel about it! I’m making the huge decision (after 2 years of contemplating it) to move to Liverpool. I have a job trial lined up, even if I just move for a year and decide it’s not for me I can come back. But has anyone done this and how did you find it?

(Just waffle)
I have friends and a partner in/from Liverpool, I’ve visited so many times and I love it. I love the people and I love the nightlife. Im from the country side part of London and there’s nothing going for me here anymore. I’m miserable in my job and it takes me a 45 min drive to get to the city if I ever need shopping/clothes etc. can’t even get a takeaway because I’m out of the mile radius. It’s to expensive to go anywhere else down here.

Middle name for Rowan

We love Rowan for our boy (still not fully decided but we’re 98% sure this will be his name).

We’re in UK and it’s not as popular where we are. For middle names I like John and my partner likes Bobby. (Just Bobby btw not Robert)

Since we can’t agree I’m looking for some more suggestions :)

Has anyone ordered through Superdrug pharmacy + experience.

(Without actually seeing anyone in person)

I’ve ordered for the first time using Superdrug pharmacy (as I’m not registered with a drs at the moment due to recently moving)

I’ve sent accurate details about my height weight, meds, and they wanted a photo of id. I did all of this then havent really heard anything.

Has anyone ordered via Superdrug pharmacy and what has your experience been like? Is it easy? And do you keep going back on there every month to order or do they send you reminders etc? I found it quite difficult to find info on how it works on there as the chat was just an ai bot. Thank you

What apps are everyone using to track weightloss/ activity etc

Just ordered mounjaro for the first time after a year of contemplating it! Looking for an app to track my weightloss / activity

I just ordered my mounjaro today for the first time!

Backstory- I’m 20 F, I just ordered mounjaro after almost a year of researching and contemplating it! I’m 13 and a half stone (about 87 kg) I’ve been struggling with my weight for about 2 years now, I work 6 days a week so I find it really hard to find time for the gym since I’m so exhausted on my day off. I try to eat healthy, I usually weigh myself at work since we have a scale, and I normally just lose a kilo or 2 then gain it back by the next week. It’s been a struggle.

I’m so excited to finally start and get my eating habits in place, I understand I also need to have other things in place for it to work I’ve done my research.

Hotel inside or outside !

So I’m planning on getting my bf tickets for his birthday. We are 3 hours away so we’d have to get a hotel. I’m planning on booking for 3 nights. So we could go there and go straight to the hotel, then spend 2 days at Alton towers, then home the next morning. With the hotels in the park the prices are £600 plus. Although I’d love to get him this and it would be really ideal to stay there, I just can’t fathom paying this when the Travelodges are like £30 a night😂🤭

Can anyone recommend hotels nearby that are really close distance, not sure any are walking distance? I don’t mind getting an uber to and from the hotel to the park but don’t want to be spending a lot on it.

Or am I best just spending out and getting a hotel in the park?

Thoughts on Cameron 💙 (boy)

(Posted this in another group too)
It’s the ONLY name we both agree on. Runners up was Felix then Caleb. Partner changed his mind on Felix last minute and we think Caleb is a bit too American. (We’re uk I’ve never heard of a Caleb here) it’s not just that tho, it just doesn’t feel 100% for me

Looks like it’s probably gonna be Cameron so we wanted some thoughts :)

also if we use Cameron (or Caleb) we are gonna use a J middle name so a possible nickname could be cj.

Popular or average names that you HATE and why?

Had an interesting conversation about this with my partner last night and wanted to hear some more on here. Personally for me it’s Arthur, Arlo and Ottilie, or any double barrelled name!
You?

Thoughts on the name Blake

I used to hate this name but it’s grown on me now that I am pregnant.

I’m from uk, does this name sound chavvy?

We also like Caleb and Callum
I’m still not fully onboard with Callum (bfs pick) as it’s really popular where I am.

And Ruben for a boy.

(Plss don’t mention the sandwhich reference! I’m in the uk and all my my family and friends who I’ve told haven’t even heard of a Reuben sandwhich so don’t think it’s such a big thing here🤣)

Also need more suggestions for my list thank youuu

(Especially people in uk) what do you think of Felix

I want to use a name that’s not TOO common, but also not unique to the point it raises eyebrows. I like Felix. I want to know what you’d think of if you heard the name, what would be your first thought? Or would you not think anything.

My partner is absolutely laid back about me choosing his first name as long as the middle name can be Connor. Felix Connor!

What do you think?
Open to new suggestions !

Thoughts on these abbreviations ?

So we have 2 names we are pretty certain on for our boy (including middle name)

We have
Daniel John or Asa John.

John will 100% be the middle name

At the moment we’re pushing toward Daniel as my partner doesn’t “love” Asa. Nor my parents. But could go either way still!

We are thinking of using the abbreviations Dj or Aj for a nickname, just wanted some opinions on these as I’ve heard Cj a lot, Jj, Aj etc but I don’t think I’ve heard Dj.
When I say it i pretty much just think of a music Dj🤣 so not sure whether to just go for your normal Danny / Danno or use Dj. Or even just use Daniel as it is.

(I know Danno isn’t a common nickname but we are from Liverpool uk and it’s quite common to get nicknames such as Danno, for example my partner is Steven but gets called Stevo, and we have a friend called Wilson but he gets called Willow🤣) not sure about other areas in the UK but it’s a big thing here.

For Asa John, we will have no worries using Aj.
Just wanted some thoughts and opinions :)
