So there are these few posts and comments which are automatically taken down by reddit. They are either spam accounts or reported items. They still somehow up in mod ques under "needs review". When I swipe them it shows "unable to remove comment". I have this kinda of ocd where I don't want to see single post under the "review" thing and this is frustrating.

Hey everyone,
We’ve updated a few rules to keep r/AmdavadClassifieds cleaner, more transparent, and actually useful for everyone. Please take a minute to read them before posting.
If you are selling something, the price or at least an approximate expected price must be mentioned in the post itself. DM for price” type posts may get removed .
Brokers/agents are now allowed since many users actively look for flats and rentals here. However, brokers MUST clearly mention [BROKER] in the title itself . Hiding this intentionally may lead to removals or bans.
Ticket resellers must clearly mention [RESELLER] in the title/post itself . Please be transparent instead of pretending it’s a personal booking.
Very vague or low-effort posts without proper details may be removed.Examples: “Anyone interested?” “DM for details”, “Selling urgently” without context/details.
Excessive posting, duplicate listings, spam, or promotional content will be removed.
This subreddit is only for Ahmedabad and nearby relevant posts. Irrelevant/global/random posts will be removed.
Please refer to the community rules section for detailed posting guidelines before posting/listing.
Also, please help us moderate the subreddit by reporting posts/comments that break rules instead of engaging in fights under them.
Lastly, always be careful with payments and deals. Meet safely, verify before paying and avoid blind advance payments whenever possible. Mods/subreddit are not responsible for scams, losses or disputes between users.
Thanks for helping keep the community clean and useful :)
As many of you know, we have a separate classifieds sub for buy/sell/rent/hiring posts. The sub has crossed 3k members and is growing fast, which also means more brokers, ticket resellers, spam, misleading posts and people who somehow think “DM for price” is a complete post.
What you’ll mainly do:
The workload honestly isn’t crazy. We just need someone active enough to keep an eye on things regularly.
What you get:
If you’re active on Reddit, interested in moderation and think you can help manage the sub properly, send us a modmail with your experience with reddit and how active are you here. Looking for people who genuinely want to help build the community long term and keep the sub useful for everyone.
Hey Rajkot people, need some help
I have my exam in a few days and got allotted this centre - Viral Plaza, Metoda, Vajdi side
I’m coming from Ahmedabad and honestly this centre location has stressed me out a bit since it seems pretty far from main Rajkot city and seems like industrial area.
Need some suggestions from locals:
- Is it better to stay in Rajkot city or near Metoda itself?
- Any decent and safe hotel recommendations for one night stay?
- How much time should I keep from Rajkot city to the centre on exam morning?
- Are cabs/autos easily available early morning for Metoda side?
Would really appreciate any practical advice from people familiar with the area. Thanks 🫶
Yesterday I spent whole day battling that shitty website just to download my INI admit card at midnight, only to find out my exam centre is far away in another city.
And not even the main city. The centre is 17 km away from the city itself in some industrial area that probably even locals won't find easy to travel.
What exactly is the logic behind this allocation?!!
People from my city got centres all over the state while some got their own city. But my location is worst of all.
You spend months preparing, trying to stay focused, managing stress, revising constantly and then a week before the exam you’re suddenly searching train timings, hotels, transport from the city to some isolated exam centre, reaching on time and whether you’ll even get proper sleep before the paper.
The worst part is not even the travel. It’s how mentally exhausting this whole process becomes. Till yesterday I was genuinely excited to write the exam. Today that enthusiasm is completely gone. I feel like why am I even writing this!!!
Th authority conducts this seriously needs to understand that we are already under enough pressure. Randomly throwing people into faraway centres is so insensitive.
At least allocate centres logically. Or improve the system enough that students don’t start the exam already mentally drained.
TLDR - Exam centre allocated so far that now I even lost the interest to write this exam
With the recent news coming out of Kolkata, I’ve been feeling very anxious. We all support different ideologies, argue over politics online and try to prove why one party is better or worse than another. But at the end of the day, most normal people have jobs, families, studies, responsibilities and enough sense to keep political disagreements limited to discussions. .I don't think anyone who is showing dissatisfaction with others here gets involved in political violence irl
I genuinely pray things on the ground don’t escalate further. No political ideology is worth lives being lost or families living in fear. If tensions do rise, please stay safe, look after your loved ones and avoid unnecessary political arguments offline. Most ordinary people have far more to lose than these jobless political goons.
P.S. I’m not originally from Bengal, I’m Gujarati (i know many of you might hate), but my Nana spent most of his life in Kolkata and my mother still tells me stories about her experience there when she first visited. I genuinely hope that charm of city returns
We often see the posts of some aesthetic locations around the world with caption " why can't we have this"?
A month ago I joked about [this becoming guthka art gallery](http://We destroy things faster than we build them.).
Today I came across pictures of people already spitting on it.
At this point it genuinely feels like we don’t deserve good public spaces. The moment something clean, aesthetic or well-made appears, people rush to ruin it.
I remember when Atal bridge was inaugurated, it was free for everyone, but later they introduced an entry fee because just in few days people started ruining it with paan and guthka.
People in our country have no respect for shared spaces, no basic civic sense. Then we wonder why our cities can’t have nice things
Few photos shared by storytellers during last nights horror meetup. Even few creepier photos were shared by a user which can't be posted 💀
Some of the stories were genuinely scary ngl. We got to know there are serious "Ghost hunters" in Ahmedabad too.
Thank you to everyone who attended, listened and shared their stories. Didn’t expect this kind of response at all ❤️
Hope everyone received the Space link in DM. If you still haven’t, send me a chat request and I’ll share it.
We’ll start by 11 PM tonight.
Most people should be able to directly open the Space link from Reddit itself. If it feels laggy or doesn’t open properly, installing the X app will give a much smoother experience.
If the link still doesn’t work somehow, just follow @oyee_Gini on X and you’ll be able to join the Space directly from there.
Also a LOT of people said they have stories to share 👀
So bring your creepy incidents and weird encounters. 💀
See ya there guys!!!
Helloooo r/Ahmedabad,
Ever experienced something creepy that you still can’t explain?
We’re hosting a late night virtual horror stories meetup this Saturday where people can join a voice chat and share spooky, paranormal and weird experiences.
Could be anything...sleep paralysis stories, weird hostel incidents, paranormal stuff from your hometown, abandoned place stories or “I saw something and never spoke about it again” moments or even fake stories if they’re scary enough lol 😂
Please note you do NOT need to reveal your identity.
The meetup is completely virtual and voice-only. No camera needed. You join with a random name or your username and just listen silently if you want.
Meetup Deets:
📅 Saturday
🕘 11 PM onwards
📍 Google Meet
📩 Meet link will be shared in DM before the meetup
Rules are simple, don’t be weird, don’t interrupt people and don’t share a story so scary that nobody can sleep after the meetup 💀
Comment “I’m in” if you’d join and we'll dm you the link👀
Hey everyone,
I currently ride a road bike (Scott Speedster) but I’ve been missing out on casual off-road plans and random group rides where a road bike just doesn’t work.
So I’m planning to get a budget MTB purely for hobby use. Budget is strictly 15–20k. Am not looking to stretch beyond that. The things which I want is - Alloy frame preferred, good disc brakes, reliable gear system and comfortable enough to occasionally stretch 50-60 km rides (not racing but shouldn’t feel like a pain either)
I’ve already done quite a bit of research and visited multiple stores but honestly it’s just made things more confusing.
One option I liked was Cradiac XC 900 but no dealer in my city has it available right now. Other brands I came across are Fittrip, Schnell, Crow, etc. but I’ve never really heard of them and there aren’t many reviews available online. Also not considering Decathlon (personal preference).
So wanted to ask:
- What are some actually good MTBs in this budget that can handle both light trails and longer rides?
- Any underrated brands/models worth checking out?
- For this budget, what matters more ? I got few options in steel , will that be worth exploring?
Also, I’m a female rider if that changes anything in terms of sizing/geometry recommendations.
Would really appreciate suggestions from people who’ve used bikes in this range.
Is it just me or did it feels like Riyan completely underused Jadeja in last match?
Only 1 over when SRh were cruising ? wouldn't a bowler like Jadeja be exactly who you turn to? Felt like he could've at least slowed things down. Also Jadeja looks visibly upset with parags bowling decisions. Feels like he is in "jane do, apne ko kya" mode.
I don't know about technicalities but I feel he would had performed better than deshpande atleast
