Need help diagnosing an issue, my Macro is now dead (DS Lite)

Hi all,

I have a DS Lite which I've tried to Macro. The top screen was unsalvagable with a broken ribbon cable so I tried the Solderless contact bridging method.

At first, this worked. I snipped a button contact off an old broken wiimote and taped it down. When testing, the system would boot into the setup menu when the contacts were pushed down because I hadn't put on enough tape, but nethertheless it did still work (shown in picture)

However, after going through the initial setup (colur/name) and the system shutting down as normal afterwards, the DS Lite is now unresponsive. It exhibits the following behaviour:

-When the contacts are not bridged, the DS Lite's screen flashes and then shuts off, as expected since it can't detect a top screen.

-When contacts are bridged (in the same way when it was working), the DS Lite shows a green light, no screen activity, and then shuts off. (Which is obviously not expected, and shows that the contact bridging is having some sort of effect)

I've tried the following troubleshooting steps:

-Reseated the Wifi Module (DS Lite stays on with no screen activity and green light indefinitely)

-Tried putting pressure on the contacts to ensure a connection (no change when contacts are bridged normally)

-Checked the continuity of fuses F1 and F2 with a multimeter (both passed so I've ruled them out)

I'm sorry if this is a bit of a noob post, I'm not too familiar with this process and this is my first attempt. I can't find any info online to help.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Before TfL Go, Nintendo had us covered.

Very charming Tube Map application by Nintendo released in 2009, called 'City Transport Map'. It's pretty obscure as it was only released digitally for the DSi (it doesn't work with normal DS or DS Lite). You can't get it through any legitimate means anymore.

Even includes a game where you are given stations and have to find the correct route between them by selecting the correct lines. Also includes interesting trivia about the Tube's history.

Is Waterloo to Bank is the last 'barrier-less' journey in Zone 1?

You used to be able to bypass the gateline using a lift at Euston Square, however I believe the configuration has since changed.

Waterloo (W&C Only) and Bank are to my knowledge the only remaining stations in Zone 1 where you can access the tube without passing through a barrier. This would also make the Waterloo and City Line the only line which can be fully ridden from end to end without passing through a gateline. Are there any others?

The longest 'barrier-less' journey on the tube network I believe is Chalfont & Latimer (Southern Entrance) to Epping (Hillcrest Way Entrance) at 42.9 miles via Liverpool Street.

Anyone else still use PlayTV on their PS3? Still the best TV recorder I've ever owned.

Canary Wharf (London) Evacuation in progress on Sept 11th [11:03am NY Time/ 4:03pm London Time]

Approximately half an hour after the collapse of WTC1, London's financial district was evacuated.

Canary Wharf is nicknamed Little Manhattan or Manhattan-On-Thames due to the prevalence of skyscrapers, and with the attacks in the real Manhattan which had begun just a couple hours earlier many feared that similar attacks would be replicated here.

This led to an evacuation of the entire district, as well as other high-rises elsewhere in London such as the Stock Exchange Tower, Tower 42 and the Lloyds Building.

Central London airspace was also closed, contributing to widespread disruption to global air travel on top of the closure of US airspace by the FAA. London City Airport had to close completely due to being adjacent to Canary Wharf, well inside the no-fly zone.

(UK) This is interesting because you can hear that the female continuity announcer (30 seconds in) is audibly shaken while introducing the next show, a small and subtle indication on how the impact of the day's events are being felt even an ocean away.

EDIT: As u/Turbulent-Listen-677 pointed out, I have put incorrect timings in the post title. I apologise for this. This recording took place at 7pm BST/2pm EDT.
