I am looking for book recommendations (fiction mostly) that make a simple life seem magnificent and captivating. A job, a family, cooking dinner, etc.
I want to feel deeply for the characters without there being some overdramatized plot line.
Any suggestions?
This is a 8/10 haul for me. Some were more than I usually pay used ($6 for Atkinson), but were too good to pass up. Just missing a few fiction bangers to make it a 10/10.
Rarely do I have issues on Libby but today any newly downloaded audiobooks will not play. I keep getting the “playback error, check your network connection” message.
Previously downloaded audiobooks play fine. I have storage on my device and restarted my device.
Anyone else having issues today or have a fix?

The newest iOS update had changed how it looks when a book is shelved. Now all shelves have smaller black text instead of the larger colored text that helped me quickly differentiate what book a shelf was on with a quick glance.
They rarely update the app and this is what we get?
I was just putting the final touches on my Bugatti Bolide Technic set when I realized that I had the crankshaft on upside down and the car wouldn’t sit flat.
Fortunately, I was able to pry apart the chassis without destroying the model and fix it. I am not sure I had it in me to work backwards about 700 pieces.
In light of the current sale and an itchy book buying finger, I am interested in what everyone’s favorite NYRBs are.
Just for reference, three of my favorite novels of all time are A Psalm for the Wild Built, The Road, and Foster (Keegan).

I am wondering if anyone else has the same issue.
Say I am playing an episode and want to play something else further down my queue. I open the queue, scroll down tap the episode, and press play. Nothing happens.
The ONLY way I can get a new episode to play is by going directly to the podcast page, scrolling to the episode, and pressing play.
When I finish the top episode in my queue it autoplays the next one just fine.
Anyone else?
As the title suggests, what are some of the longest NYRB novels by page count? I am looking to dive into a meaty NYRB tome and not sure where to start.
