Just finished watching it and ngl I finally don't hate office romance trope anymore if it's done like this. It was an easy watch and there was something so calming about this drama... maybe the effect of chamomile tea.😝 I loved the era of FL falling for him and how she was so down bad for him.

And maybe it's the first time where I didn't hate the exs.... infact I felt sad for those incomplete love stories, especially of FL. ❤️‍🩹

One thing I wanted to see badly was their marriage and a glimpse of their domestic life... an episode "got married, still clocking in"...🤌😭 but ok.😒

So I just watched Kankan De Ohle and I am officially staring at my wall in absolute disbelief. What in the actual hell did I just witness? 💀

I already know the immediate defense from the film bros is going to be "bUt iT’S sEt iN ThE OlD DaYs, iT’S hIsToRiCaL lAcK Of aWaReNeSs!"

Okay, cool. It’s a period piece. We get it. History was messy. But there is a massive gaping canyon between depicting the harsh realities of history and romanticizing them with a tear jerking background score and framing it as a "beautiful, spiritual soul connection."😖

Why is it always necessary to dig up the absolute most toxic, harmful, and unhealthy aspects of the old era just to exploit them for cheap emotional drama? You can show historical tragedies without making the audience feel like they need to report the movie to child protective services.😐

Honestly, the decision making process behind this is baffling. It feels like someone in a writers room thought that adding a "soulful angelic" angle would somehow make a deeply problematic historical practice palatable for a modern audience. IT DOES NOT!!!😑

I actually first watched a video song of the movie anf thought that child is his daughter but....💀 even after watching trailer, I was not ready to believe the shyt am gonna watch.

Today I finished watching Beyond evil and these two were really really suspicious.😭 Han joo-won was practically visiting Dong-sik's home every single night.....💀😭 I'll wirte the review later but for now this is the only thought which I wanted to share and actually a question makers did not solve by the end. Should I imagine Inspector Han having a thing with Jae-yi or was he loyal to Dong-sik??? 😉

The actor who played Han joo-won got such a duality in his eyes. Tbh I found him random and okish at start but the moment man smiled for the first time in the drama I was genuinely surprised. And here I am chasing his works and started watching the drama 'the crowned clown'.🫠🙃
