Still feeling like an addict

Hi everyone! A few years ago, I was really addicted to self harm. Like Really bad.Except for one relapse, I've been clean since then.

For anyone who struggled with a behavioral addiction(like porn addiction, videogames addiction, etc) in the past and is now clean,do you still feel like an addict?? I still get urges sometimes but I resist. And all my ""good"" memories of my old behavior come back even though I barely have any scars anymore and I've been in a good place for a while.

Anyone feel like this? I feel fundamentally broken in this sense and I'll never get back to who I was before all of this happened. Once you experiment with it,you never come back completely.

Short term mood shifting

I have to say that pretty much I was always more of the bipolar with "classical" episodes. 2 weeks of hypomania and then 3 months of depression. And so on.The one that you see on the textbook, basically.

But for the first time in years, I feel that my mood shifting has become "short term" in 2026 somehow??

Definitely more manageable and yes,I had episodes that lasted weeks(especially hypomania) but most of my strong feelings are only going for days. So it doesn't feel that I'm bipolar anymore. Things are very odd now, I was so excited about life for a few days and now I'm thinking of the worst things imaginable even though I have so much to be grateful for

Has anyone here experienced their episodes become shorter in a specific time of their lives? Permanently or not
