What is it?
Broken down thousands of lobsters, never seen this weird blue rock stuck to the tail. I pried it off with my tweezers, pretty sure it came with the lobster.

Hey all, we always have way too much lobster for family meal. I usually end up braising it quickly in the oven with fines herbs, or stirring it with a quick tomato sauce, or roasting it with garlic and lemon and shallots. We always have rice or pasta on the side, and other things to grab from. Got any more ideas? I’m getting kind of sick of cooking lobster every few days and looking for inspiration. But, must be quick and easy. Thank you in advance!
Hi, I’m looking for tips for smoothing out my recordings. I am happy with the performance, but since I was constantly interrupted by cars and sirens I ended up patching the songs together. As time went on I got better, but I am looking to smooth over the little blips and tone changes from when I drifted from the exact mic placement that I had set up.
These are all solo guitar tracks, some classical, some contemporary fingerpicking. They were recorded over the course of 3 years. This is just a hobby and I’m looking to just have something to put on the shelf and look back on since I can’t play as well as I used to.
I can crossfade and do some basic things with EQ and play with the noise gate to remove background sounds. I honestly got further than I thought I would, but there must be other tools you recommend that I should look into?
Happy to send a recording if you are interested. Thank you in advance.
I’m always nervous to ask for a raise, so restaurant owners tell me about a time when a chef has asked for a raise and how it went. What did they say and was there tension?
Everyone starts at base pay. Half my month goes to my rent, it’s hardly enough money. The thing is I’ve only been here two months, and I didn’t realize how low the checks were gonna be.
Hi, looking to hop on a train to the last terminal and kill time for the day. Which one would you recommend?
Hi all, I just moved to midtown on 56 and 6th ave. It’s very touristy and I always end up going to Brooklyn or LES to hang out with like minded individuals, but this is where I ended up so I’m going to make the most of it. I’ve already found a few cool places to hang out at, but I haven’t found my people yet. I’ve been in NYC for 4 years, and I’ve met some amazing people and this city really has a lot to offer. I’m looking to find some friends to share it with.
I am looking for places to grab a drink, shoot some pool, hang out in the park, library, movies, museums, etc. I’m 31, male, chef (fine dining/michelin), love jazz, comedy, reading, playing music, and nature.
5’9, blue eyes, Caucasian, athletic body
Originally from Reno, been living in New York for 4 years, currently in Midtown. Serious about food, music, and becoming a better man. Less serious about most other things. Knows how to play and enjoy life. Not looking for someone perfect or particularly impressive. Looking for someone who is joyful, curious, and educated.
I like classical music, bluegrass, live jazz and lively dive bars with positive energy. Not into clubbing or binge drinking or drugs. I play classical guitar and I love singing old folk songs, but I love all kinds of music, from White Stripes to Doc Watson to Kendrick Lamar to Bach. I like gardening, reading, spending time at coffee shops, and finding things to do around NYC such as concerts in Central Park and movies.
I have a lot of appreciation for skilled and technical knowledge. If you are into something and you are passionate about it, I find that really sexy.
I am very loyal and dedicated to my friends and those that I love. I fill my free time with good company, movies, walks in the park, farmers markets, nature and walking along the river.
I am not particularly religious but I believe that faith and hope is important. I have ambitions to open my own business, start a family, and contribute to a local community.
Looking for someone genuine and to build something that lasts. If this post resonates with you, tell me what you are passionate about. I’ll respond with a photo
I’m talking Japanese fish markets, French cheese makers in the mountains, scuba diving for live scallops…
I have a week off and I want to make the most of it. I was thinking of hitting up our meat purveyor and seeing if they’ll teach me how to break down a cow.
Hi all — I’ve been getting into jazz guitar and experimenting with my own voicings and substitutions. I’ve learned there are tons of approaches, but I’m looking for resources where experienced players explain their thought process in real time.
Ideally, videos of someone going through tunes from the Real Book, reharmonizing/substituting chords, adding passing chords, embellishing voicings, etc., while explaining why they’re making those choices. I haven’t been able to find that perfect channel, and I’m starting to think it doesn’t exist.
Any recommendations?
31M - Caucasian, blonde hair, blue eyes, athletic/ muscular build. Successful chef working in Michelin-level fine dining in NYC. Living in East Village. Open to all ethnicities and cultural backgrounds.
Outside the kitchen I'm into rock climbing, jazz music, reading, good cocktails, and staying active.
Looking for something long term with someone emotionally available, affectionate, and genuinely kind.
I'm very emotionally available myself, known for crying during movies, and I love spoiling the right person with thoughtful dinners, dates, and attention.
DM me just say hi 😊
I’m a classical guitarist getting into improvisation, I'm having trouble tracking the scales and chord tones as the song progresses.
I’ve used iReal Pro for backing tracks, but I'm not at the level where I can "see" the notes that I should be targeting. I usually end up writing everything out myself and following it, which works, but takes time.
Are there any tools or methods that actually help visualize or internalize this as the changes are happening?
Or is this just something you grind out mentally over time?
