https://admission.isical.ac.in/bsds2026/home

This post is for those who excel in Math but not in Physics or Chemistry.

If your math percentile is high, you should apply for BSDS @ ISI Kolkata. It is a 4 years Honors degree, very similar to B.S. in Statistics & Data Science @ IIT Kanpur (Which closes in top 1,000 AIR in Advanced).

If your dream branch was Math and Computing, this is definitely for you.

Cutoffs: (Last year, math percentile)
Round 1: 99.96%ile
Total 5 Rounds & a spot round if needed

Do you think IOQM should be made CBT mode to avoid cheating?

I think lots of cheating in India happens in offline exams and IOQM has crossed the 1 lakh students scale so it is best to shift to CBT mode. Also multiple sessions must be conducted to provide students with opportunity in case of bad day, what say?

ISI Kolkata (BSDS)!

From today one can apply: https://admission.isical.ac.in/bsds2026/home

Only Best Math %ile in Jan or April in 2025 or 2026 will be used for AIR calculation.

It is a strong achievement and the AIR in merit list will be nice for your resume also.

I suggest you apply if you have a good result.

Particularly suggest it if overall is lower but math %ile is very high.

Hello IPMAT aspirants! Hope your IPMAT Indore 2026 went well.

This is my personal story written in a certain way. My main advice to 2027 and beyond aspirants is that try for 270+/360 (or, a VERY HIGH score) in IPMAT Indore <smiley face>

I wasn’t ever a "management" aspirant, I’m more of a math enthusiast who found the exam easy cuz I was good at VA and DILR too. I had some interest in finance, so IIM Indore seemed nice for that path. But I also had offer from ISI Kolkata (Where I ended up joining).

The interview process is quite chill overall. I spent 2-3 weeks seriously working on my personality, which helped a lot. They asked some current affairs (which I handled well) and concept-based academic questions, moderate in difficulty I guess.

Ultimately, selection depends a lot on your personality, communication, and extracurricular achievements, I had lots of super-curricular achievements in math especially, that I showed them in interview, all the certificates and stuff at high level math exams.

Now that the aptitude test is over, focus on polishing your profile. Practice mock interviews if you’re new to them-they really help.

I know this interview is really bad, but this is how you should NOT perform, and I myself got AIR 84 finally so you can learn basically what mistakes to avoid at-least I guess. My first mock went badly, but I improved significantly by the actual interview.

Hi, I'm a former under 100 ranker in IPMAT Indore and here's the paper attempting strategy.

See, Maths [SA] is short answer, you have shitload of time per question, attempt all

Maths [MCQ] - now this is real beast, trust me it'll be hella lot tough hell to score high here but don't give a damn if you don't score hella high just target 50+/120, keep accuracy and all very high and keep in mind: last 5 question of MCQ are based on a same data interpretation so like you can just give it more time as it will fetch you 5 question confirm <100 emoji>

Verbal - so see MCQ may not go very well so try to maximize here without taking pressure of MCQ section. See what's done is done. Now your aim should be to fresh mind and maximum score in verbal.

all the best give exam well ! may god bless you all

Is IIIT Delhi use standard (classical) rating only or also rapid & blitz Also at website they is mentions that 1200 to 1800 is 1 point. But rating is minimum 1400 now since 2024 so do they increased minimum criteria also?
