About Delhi Campus

Hi, here I'm going to give a brief description about the Delhi campus.

LOCATION

It is located on the S.J.S. Sansanwal Marg, entrance is on the main road. It is in a nice urban locality. Right opposite the ISI entrance gate, we have the Katwaria Sarai Bus Stand from where vans run all day to the Hauz Khas Metro Station. Also, when you take the Gate 1 exit of Hauz Khas Metro at Sarvpriya Vihar, you can find vans directly to Katwaria Sarai Bus Stand, which again, is right opposite the ISI entrance.

Hauz Khas Metro connects us to the entire city and makes travel very smooth.

RESTAURANTS

There is a nice Haldiram's restaurant near the campus, if your parents visit or if you wanna just go chill, it's a nice place with A/C and cleanliness, it's a bit costly. There is a Giani's outlet for ice-cream lovers. There are multiple budget options nearby captions, with a compromise on hygiene and A/C.

STORES

There is a medical store right behind the Katwaria Sarai Bus Stand. One can purchase grocery and snacks also nearby. If you want eggs, you will find a stand near Haldiram's to purchase boiled eggs. You can get printing/stationary in vicinity. There is an ATM right beside Haldiram's. You can get a hair cut at salons, little further inside the street connected to Haldiram's.

ENTERTAINMENT

If you're a film lover, multiple cinemas can be accessed within 30 minutes via the Metro. You can also visit the Laugh Store: DLF Cyberhub in Gurugram if you enjoy standup comedy, there would be several other options in Delhi as well.

MESS

The campus has a nice mess facility with awesome food menus ranging from Gobi Pyaz Parantha to Manchurian & Noodles. Rajma Rice, Chole Bhature, Biryani, Fish, Chicken are some of the cool food items.

ONLINE DELIVERY

While no major fast food chains exist in vicinity, one can always order Dominos, Pizza Hut, Subway, McDonalds, etc online and they'll arrive quickly since the campus is in an urban location.

Blinkit, Instamart, Zepto make a wide range of items readily available.

PEOPLE

Everyone is very friendly. Almost everyone speaks English, so there is no language barrier.

RAGGING IS PROHIBITED

Ragging is taken very seriously and everyone signs a compulsory undertaking while joining. Women's safety laws are also very strict and there are regular sessions about the same.

CULTURAL & SPORTS

Almost all major festivals such as Holi, Diwali, Janmashtami, etc are celebrated. There is an annual cultural night as well. Table Tennis table is there and multiple sports are regularly played on campus.

ISI Bill 2026: What's in it for BSDS?

Discussion is open only to BSDS Students, including the incoming freshmen.

ISI Bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha and it seeks to strengthen the data science ecosystem.

It is expedient to widen the functioning of the Institute and align its legal framework with the evolving needs of India’s growing and data-driven economy.

According to the Bill, the objective is to expand the institute's role beyond traditional statistics to create an ecosystem of high-quality statisticians and data scientists to support evidence-based decision making through the use of frontier technologies and to build deeper analytical capacity for the government, industry and society.

What do you think? Write down your views?

ISI BSDS Cutoffs 2026

GENERAL CATEGORY LAST CLOSING RANK CUTOFFS

Please refer to these for future

Delhi - AIR 34 (99.97)

Kolkata (AIR 47) & Bangalore (AIR 51 or 54) - 99.95

These are NOT Round 1 cutoffs this year. These are final/closing.

Logic for 1 empty seat:

In Bangalore (1 GEN seat is empty), AIR 51 was offered in Round 4. AIR 52 & 53 did not accept their seats. But AIR 54 already has an OBC-NCL seat, which will be upgraded to GEN if AIR 51 declines his seat.

So cutoff can NOT fall below AIR 54.

Rule: Do not ask advice for entrance tests

Dear Aspirants,

I have added a new rule in the wiki, hereby requiring all of you to not post here regarding entrance test advice. You can ask those in the appropriate exam subreddits.

We will be updating the cutoffs in the wiki, to the best of our knowledge.

Discussions regarding lack of stipend/accommodation are not welcome. We acknowledge our limitations. The tuition fee is however the same as IITs and the financial waiver policy has been described in detail here.

It is obviously not fair to compare math percentiles of JEE & CUET. We understand this but repeated discussions on this are not welcome either as the policy is not in our hands. We advice every Aspirant to attempt both.

What is welcome:

  1. Questions regarding the admission process (not the entrance tests) such as merit lists, seat acceptance and other processes which arise at time of admission. You may also ask accommodation advice, but not - "why it is not provided?".
  2. Any other relevant discussion related to the program beyond admissions such as subjects and prospects.

IOQM (State Top 40) + 100%ile in JEE Math (Sacrifice Physics & Chemistry): 6 months Math God Strategy to ISI Kolkata (BSDS)

DISCLAIMER: IT DEMANDS SACRIFICE OF OVERALL ALL INDIA RANK TO MAXIMIZE MATHEMATICS PERCENTILE. HIGH RISK & HIGH REWARD, DESIGNED WITH EXCEPTIONALLY TALENTED INDIVIDUALS IN MIND.

This JEE Math God Strategy is designed for students with exceptional mathematical ability who aim to maximize their mathematics performance and sacrifice their overall JEE rank.

Phase 1: July–September — Target IOQM

  • Prepare exclusively for the IOQM.
  • Complete Pathfinder by PJ Sir. Two months should be sufficient for a serious aspirant.

Checkpoint: Continue only if you qualify IOQM (Top 40 in your state). If you do not qualify, abandon this strategy and switch to a conventional JEE preparation plan.

Phase 2: September–January — Target JEE Mathematics

  • Focus entirely on JEE Mathematics.
  • Solve a rigorous mathematics test series.
  • Set a target of 100/100 (raw score) in Mathematics.

The overlap between IOQM and JEE Mathematics is substantial, making this transition highly efficient.

Why This Works

  • IOQM: 30 questions in 3 hours.
  • JEE Mathematics: 25 questions in 3 hours.

Neither examination is primarily a speed test. Both reward deep mathematical thinking and sustained problem-solving, making them an excellent combination for a mathematics specialist.

Exam-Day Philosophy

Maximize your Mathematics score, even if it means sacrificing your overall JEE rank.

Under this strategy, you attempt only Mathematics in the JEE Main. If you spend even a single second on Physics or Chemistry, you have not followed the strategy.

Phase 3: January–July

Having achieved the intended outcome of the strategy, you can confidently expect admission to the BSDS program at ISI Kolkata using your JEE Mathematics score.
