I posted a photo of the used game store „hard-off“ and initiated a lively debate, people sharing memories etc. in the photo, all you could see where used games with the price tag, nothing more.
Deleting this post is petty at best, manipulative at worst. There was no reason given, especially as no fouls were done. Is this how they plan to shut people up?
Seriously, Sony, you people at HQ have lost your mind
In Japan, used games are not only well liked but an entire industry far more common than GameStop in Europe (can’t speak for the US). You can get absolute banger games for pretty decent money, sometimes even absolute steals.
I wonder how Sony made that call considering that in Japan, used games are basically a fundamental part of big chains like book off/hard off etc.
In case you haven’t been there: they sell everything from used consoles (brand new to quite used) to games, movies, music, books etc.
As kids, my family was pretty low income. The war back home ment that what ever money we had went to our relatives. Yet, one fortunate day, we stumbled across the „golden games collection“. Part of that collection was gothic 1.
It was literally my first ever PC game, RPG and lesson in „play smart not hard“. I played this game with my brother, it was the one thing that connected us more than any other media or activity.
25 years later, the remake is out. My brother bought it for the two of us (thank you steam, for the family share feature) and I booted it up.
It was magnificent, it was every bit of fun I remembered dialed to a 100. Never have I seen a remake with such a loyalty and faithfulness to every aspect that made it great while making most elements so much better.
What a joyful ride it was and I hope, that it will bring you just as much fun to you.
