Thoughts on setup Johnson JM250–>Carvin BX1600(slave amp)—>Peavey 412F (4xSwamp Thangs wired for 4 ohms)

Just wanted thoughts on this setup.

Using the Johnson, if unfamiliar is an early modeling amp (late 90’s). I’ve tried about 10 amps (Randall, Fender, Peavey, Behringer, Ampeg, Marshall) and this is my favorite.

I run a full stack of V30’s and absolutely love it for more grunge and hardcore tones. I find with the Swamp Thang 412 it feels a little thin.

My thoughts are that at 125W of solid state power simply isn’t enough to really push these speakers (currently wired to 16 ohms). They’re also currently in a slightly oversized early 90’s Ampeg cab (V412BE), I bought the Peavey cab to get an oversized cab without paying the price of a Mesa OS412).

I kind of want something more geared towards doom. I could also used the setup for my 4x15 to run that as well.

Just curious if anyone has done anything similar. Eventually I’ll post pics when it’s all set up.

I want to rewire it

Stoichiometry Question

I’m working on a question where in spent caustic (with 5% disodium sulfide) at a pH of 12 is dumped into an open air container of coal combustion residue (fly ash), it is mechanically stirred (still open to the atmosphere).

I want to show how this reaction creates and emits H2S to the atmosphere.

I have this all written out in 8 steps, but I’d like someone to show me independently (I.e. I don’t want what I’ve done to influence how you do it). This is not for school.

Once I get a couple responses I will post what I’ve done to see what differences we may have and get clarification on what you’ve done. My background is in Environmental Engineering (grad level), and I have a bit of chemistry in there, but it was not my best subject.

Thank you in advance. Been working on this question for about 6 weeks, and I feel good about what I’ve done, but want to see how others would attack the problem.

Cheap local find

Not an amplifier (would’ve been awesome to get the matching with this pair), found locally $150 total, everything works, all original, handles nice and clean, corners nice, only minor dings in the tolex, looking forward to plugging them in and cranking them up

Looking around for info/reviews.

I can’t say I’ve seen any for sale. Bridge pickup is loose/unscrewed. Local deal for $100. Does that seem reasonable?

I wanted a cheap cost (but quality) guitar to put a Lace Alumitone Deathbucker 5.0 pickup into.

Does seem like a good fit? I feel like it is after a little bit of research, but hoping for some comments before I buy it.
