thinking of going to uni but cannot decide what i want to do

i already can see the comments of maybe don’t go if you don’t know what to do, but i just have too many paths i want to take. music production is something ive always wanted to try, ive been quite passionate about psychology (talk therapy and studies) and also owning a business but all of these seem like too much effort to potentially regret.

i’m 20 nearly 21 and i feel like im wasting time, im just working part time and have been for the past 2 years, not really working towards anything…. help!!!

cleithrophobia

i’ve been struggling with cleithrophobia for over a year now and it hasn’t seemed to get any better despite pushing myself to do things. it started when i had a anxiety attack in a family holiday and wanted to go home, i got a flight a week early alone at 19 due to the level of anxiety i was experiencing for the remainder of the holiday. i’ve been away since, but i had to be on propanol the entire time because i was so worried i would be trapped there.

i no longer can go abroad, travel far from home (1hour or more) go to concerts, clubbing or fly on an airplane because i get so overwhelmed with this feeling that i am trapped wherever i am and wont be able to go home. i’ve lost out on so much life experiences and im worried i will waste my 20’s staying in my house or going to work.

does anyone have the same and how are they doing?

hearing my raw voice for the first time and i don’t like it

after scrolling through a thread, i came across a comment that said something along the lines of “if you can’t sing without the voice in the song then you’re not a good singer”, which stuck with me because i’ve always been a sing along in the car kind of singer and thought i was pretty good for the causal singer. so i decided to sing a karaoke version and i was cringing so hard whilst singing this because i didn’t realise how bad i was. i’m kind of crushed because i’ve always been told i was decent and now i feel very silly for running with it and identifying as a ‘singer’.

does anyone have feedback of what stands out to them that i could improve? i don’t think im at a level where im confident enough to get a singing coach yet but i would like to because this has made me almost lose my passion for it.

recs for girls UK

I want a car that is going to treat me well, but I don’t want to sacrifice the aesthetic of the car for it. I want it to feel feminine but not in a fiat 500 way (which I currently drive). I like a sexy car, I’ve always liked the look of mercedes cars, seat ibizas, mazda miatas, just convertibles as a whole.

Any suggestions for something that isn’t gonna eat all my money but still gives off cool girl vibes?

i just rided out my first panic attack without meds and i couldn’t be more proud of myself

okay, so about 10mins ago i just had a panic attack in my kitchen, and normally my first instinct it to cry and run to the first person i can find and absolutely freak out because i get them pretty extreme (or if im alone, i just pop a propranolol and try and pretend it not happening). instead, i put my head down, closed my eyes and breathed through it, and it ended so much quicker (4/5minutes max).

i just wanted to post this because i dont often see a lot of posts that fill me with hope on this subreddit. i’ve been suffering with anxiety for just over a year and i was at a point where i didn’t see a point in living because i was CONSTANTLY in a state of anxiety, but if you’re someone here looking for a sign that it will get better, it does.

i can’t be away from home for more than a day

i had my first panic attack abroad with my parents, and then i booked a flight home for the end of the week because it was too intense and i had no idea what was happening. obviously going home didn’t end it, and i have since been to concerts and another 2 holidays but i have had panic attacks during all of them, and not been able to enjoy them because of the anxiety.

it’s been a year since it happened, and ive essentially gotten worse, i can’t go to visit my friends at uni anymore without having anxiety and or panic attacks, i can’t go for meals with my parents or girlfriend (who also struggles with the same issue), i can’t go to festivals like ive wanted to for years, i keep buying the tickets, freaking out, them selling them whilst my friends go.

my question is: do i need to just do it scared to make it better, because i feel like having panic attacks has just made my anxiety steer clear of any similar scenarios. i feel hopeless because im young and should be going out clubbing like i used to, on holiday, travelling etc.
