Looking to buy reliable UPS

APC Back-UPS Pro BR1000G-IN 1000VA / 600W Premium UPS

Planning to use the UPS with NAS server

My main requirement is **automatic graceful shutdown** during a prolonged power failure. From what I understand, if the UPS is connected to the Synology via USB, DSM should detect the power failure/battery status and automatically put the NAS into safe mode or shut it down before the battery runs out.
I’d appreciate advice from anyone using this model with a Synology NAS

Should I buy an iPhone 17 Pro 512GB now, or just keep using my work iPhone 15?

I’m in two minds about buying an iPhone 17 Pro 512GB and wanted some unbiased opinions.

Current situation:
I have an iPhone 15 (128GB) provided by my employer.
It’s primarily meant for work, but I’ve also been using it for personal stuff.
The biggest issue is that I can’t comfortably keep both work apps and personal apps/photos/videos on the same device.
128GB is also starting to feel limiting.
I’m considering buying a personal iPhone 17 Pro 512GB (I can get an employee discount in the US), but I’m wondering if it’s worth spending the money when I already have a perfectly good work phone.
For those who’ve been in a similar situation:
Did having separate work and personal phones improve your day-to-day life?
Is the convenience worth the extra cost?
Would you buy the 17 Pro now, or wait another year?
I tend to keep phones for 4–5 years, so storage and longevity matter to me.
Would appreciate your thoughts, especially from anyone managing both work and personal ecosystems.

iPhone 17 Pro/Pro Max: Buy from India, Dubai or the US? Business trip coming up – need advice.

I’m planning to upgrade from my iPhone 15 (128 GB) because I’m constantly running out of storage. I shoot a lot of photos/videos and don’t want to deal with storage anxiety anymore.

I have a business trip to the US coming up around the end of the month. I also have the flexibility to take a layover in Dubai if it makes financial sense to buy the phone there before flying to the US.

I’m trying to figure out the best place to buy an iPhone 17 Pro or Pro Max.

A few questions:
Is it better to buy from India, Dubai, or the US considering the total cost (including taxes)?

If I buy in the US, is it still worth it after factoring in state sales tax? Travelling to SFO.

If I buy in Dubai, are there any things I should be aware of (FaceTime restrictions, warranty, model differences, eSIM/physical SIM, customs while returning to India, etc.)?
Is Apple’s international warranty completely hassle-free for iPhones purchased in Dubai or the US?
Are there any reasons to avoid buying outside India?

My budget is roughly ₹1.1–1.2 lakh.

Storage-wise:
I’m definitely looking at 512 GB.
If I can get the 1 TB variant within that budget (especially in Dubai or the US), would you recommend stretching for it, or is 512 GB enough for most people?

I’d also appreciate opinions on Pro vs Pro Max. I don’t mind the larger size if the battery life is significantly better.

If you’ve bought your iPhone from Dubai or the US recently, I’d love to hear:
Final price you paid
Which country/city/store you bought it from
Any issues with warranty, AppleCare+, network compatibility, or customs

Anything you wish you’d known before buying
Looking forward to hearing your experiences!

How are you using Agentic AI in Cloud Infrastructure / Platform Engineering? Looking for real-world use cases.

Exploring where **Agentic AI** can genuinely improve productivity in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Governance, and SRE teams—not just AI chatbots for answering documentation questions.

I'm particularly interested in hearing from teams working on AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Networking, Security, FinOps, and Internal Developer Platforms.

A few questions:

* Are you using any Agentic AI solutions in production or even as internal POCs?
* What tools are you using? (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, custom agents, LangGraph, CrewAI, etc.)
* What specific workflows are they helping with?
* Are they autonomous or do they still require human approval before taking action?
* What measurable value have you seen? (Time saved, MTTR reduction, fewer incidents, faster provisioning, better developer experience, cost optimization, etc.)
* What hasn't worked as expected?

Some use cases I'm curious about:

* Infrastructure provisioning and Terraform generation
* Cloud troubleshooting and root cause analysis
* Incident response and runbook execution
* Kubernetes diagnostics
* Cloud cost optimisation (FinOps)
* IAM policy reviews and security recommendations
* Cloud networking troubleshooting
* CI/CD pipeline debugging
* Documentation generation and keeping docs in sync
* Platform engineering and self-service developer portals
* Compliance and governance checks
* Change risk analysis before deployments

If you're using something similar, I'd love to know:

* Which cloud/platform?
* Team size?
* Biggest pain point it solves?
* Biggest limitation?
* If you had to build one "dream" AI agent for your platform team, what would it do?

Looking forward to learning from real production experiences rather than vendor demos. Thanks!

Gaming without controller, Advice

Maybe this is a silly question, but I’m curious how people here manage their PS5 setups for different types of games.

I’m primarily a couch gamer. My PS5 is connected to the TV in the hall, and I mostly play story-driven titles like FIFA, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Spider-Man, Horizon, etc. For these games, the DualSense is perfect and I can’t imagine playing any other way.

What I’m curious about is how people who play competitive shooters or racing sims on PS5 manage their setup.
If you’re playing games like Warzone, Call of Duty, Fortnite, etc., do you use keyboard and mouse on PS5?
If yes, how do you set it up comfortably when the PS5 is connected to a living room TV?

For sim racing enthusiasts, do you keep a wheel permanently mounted somewhere, or do you bring it out only when racing?

Do you have a dedicated gaming room/desk setup, or have you somehow made it work in the living room?

How seamless is it to switch between couch gaming, keyboard & mouse, and a racing wheel setup?

Would love to see photos of your setups and hear how you’ve solved this.

Looking for luxury villa corporate outing near Lonavala

Hi everyone,
We’re planning a corporate/team outing for around **10-15 people** from Pune and are looking for recommendations for a **luxury villa or resort near Lonavala/Pawna**.

What we’re looking for:
Private luxury villa or premium resort
(Considered machan but it’s very isolated and Canary island doesn’t have properties that can accommodate big group under one roof.

Swimming pool
Good food/BBQ options
Cricket ground or large lawn for sports
Indoor games (pool table, table tennis, board games, etc.)
Team-building friendly setup

Bonus points if there are nearby activities such as:
Kayaking
Boating
Go-karting
Adventure activities
ATV rides
Ziplining
Archery or shooting
Trekking trails

No budget constrains , but we’re looking for a place that offers a good balance between luxury and activities rather than just a stay.

Would love recommendations from people who have actually hosted corporate offsites or team outings around Lonavala, Pawna, Mulshi, or nearby areas.

If possible, please mention:
Property name
Approximate cost per person
Group size you stayed with
Activities available on-site or nearby
Any pros/cons
Thanks in advance! 🙌

iPhone Pro / Pro Max buyers in India – What’s the cheapest price you’ve paid and what offers did you stack?

I’m trying to understand the lowest effective prices people have managed to get for iPhone Pro and Pro Max models in India over the last few years.
If you’ve purchased an iPhone Pro/Pro Max, could you share:

Model & storage variant
Purchase date (month/year)
Platform/store (Flipkart, Amazon, Apple, Croma, Vijay Sales, Reliance Digital, etc.)

MRP at the time
Final effective price paid
Offers stacked:
Bank discount
Exchange bonus
Trade-in value
Credit card rewards/cashback
Corporate discount
GST input credit (if applicable)
Any other offer
Was it during Big Billion Days, Great Indian Festival, Republic Day Sale, etc.?

Or brought from US or any other country?

I’m looking to buy but I don’t wanna rush. I can get it ordered from the US (via friends) as well but as rupee has depreciated so much, does it makes sense now ?

Looking to Rent a Logitech G29 Racing Setup

I’ve been wanting to try sim racing before committing to buying a full setup. Does anyone know of a gaming café, simulator center, or an individual who rents out a **Logitech G29 (or similar) racing wheel setup** for a day or weekend?

Mainly looking to play games like Gran Turismo, F1, Assetto Corsa, or Forza and get a feel for the experience before making a purchase decision.

I’m based in Pune (Baner) and can travel within the city if needed.
Any leads, recommendations, or rental offers would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! 🏎️🏁

Looking for interior designer in pune

Looking for an interior designer in Pune who can help with design planning only — from 2D layouts to 3D renders — along with very detailed room-wise plans and execution inputs based on my requirements.

I mainly need:
2D layout planning
3D visual renders
Detailed room-by-room design guidance
Precise dimensions, material suggestions, lighting/electrical points, storage planning, etc.

Not looking for full execution right now, mainly the design + detailed planning part.

Would appreciate recommendations for designers/freelancers in Pune who are good at this.
