Don’t panic!

Yes, everyone got the email today about resitting information.
Yes, it is scary because it is talking about how to book a resit if you need it.
No, receiving it doesn’t mean you have failed.
No, it isn’t an insight into performance.

Don’t start panicking until you know you’ve failed.

One week to go!

Disaster strikes at the hands of my own self-assuredness

Context - this was 10 years ago.

I was a plus one at my (now ex-) girlfriend’s friend’s wedding. I was 19 at the time.

Got too drunk, little boogying, little photo-boothing. Whatever.

It came round to signing the guest book.

I said to my GF - “don’t worry, I’ll get this.” She replied “are you sure? I feel like I know them better?” No no. Silly. I am 19 and drunk. King of the world and of my own ego.

Anyway. Signed the book “Dear Mark and Mary, many happy returns. All our love…”

The issues:

  1. “Many happy returns” is what you see when you hope to see someone at the same event in the future. I.e hope to see you at your next wedding.

  2. The groom was not called Mark.

All in all, 9/10 wedding. Would attend again, certainly won’t be invited.

Hi all. I’ve been using a moka pot for about a year now. I think the coffee I make in it rocks. It’s flavourful and rich. Pic attached for colour. I use a Gronenberg and I believe it is for four cups

The issue (if you can even call it that) is that it doesn’t taste as strong as I expect. I use about 19g of coffee which would be the same amount as a double espresso from a machine. However, it’s not double espresso strength in flavour and it doesn’t give me the same caffeine punch as a double shot would. Appreciate that more water goes into it which partly explains why it isn’t as strong flavoured, but I’m not even sure it has the same flavour strength as a standard cafe long black.

Any advice or tips on how strong it ‘should’ taste gratefully received!
