Common lilac or persian lilac?

Wanted to be 100% sure. It looks more like a persian lilac to me but I don’t want to throw it out in the chance it is the edible variety. Very sorry for the poor quality photo of the tree, I wouldve taken a better one but I sliced my finger with my foraging knife and had to leave quickly. If you need better photos of the blossoms or leaves please let me know and I will add them!

Foraging question

I would like to make tea with some plants available in my area around this time (I am midwestern.) I know spruce tips and deadnettle both can work for this, but I would like to know some others! I can’t seem to find very many resources and knew you all could probably help!

Dinner, featuring some things I’ve foraged!

Vegan wild mushroom pasta with oyster mushrooms, pheasant backs, and wild ramps. Garnished with my first ever morels and more ramps!!! All foraged by me! I got a job today so I wanted to celebrate a bit.

Hello foragers!

Yesterday I found what I first believed to be wood ears, but they fell apart quite easily, so I am beginning to doubt that. I have never foraged wood ears before so I don’t have anything to compare with. Can I get an ID of these, possibly? (Also pictured are my first ever morels and some pheasantbacks, which I am sure of the ID on! ☺️)
