How does the transition process work?

My baby boy is about 2.5 months old. The Snoo has worked wonders for us. And while we aren’t ready to move LO to a crib yet, I wanted to start planning how that process may look.

We still have him fully swaddled too and he has had accidental roll overs from belly to back 3 times (honestly his head is doing most of the work). Would you start taking his arms out of the swaddle now? He still has the startle reflex.

When should I look to turning on the weaning mode. Should I wait until after the 4 month sleep regression? He does 1-2 daytime naps in his crib/room currently. TIA

Nursing to sleep??

My baby is 11 weeks old. Since having him, when it’s nap time he will easily fall asleep by being swaddled and then nursed for 5 minutes. Without nursing, and just walking a swaddled baby around will take me 30 minutes to get him to sleep.

Will there ever come a time where he can fall asleep without nursing? Is this something that he needs to be transitioned out of? Will he outgrow it? Will it fade to stop once solids are started?

My husband and I are planning to take a week trip without LO when he is about 10 months old. My parents will be watching him and I’d like to know that they won’t have trouble putting him to sleep for night time or naps. Essentially want to make sure this is something he can outgrow before then. He doesn’t like pacifiers. TIA

Is this a phase? Or will he only contact nap now? How can I get solid nap times?

So my baby boy is 11.5 weeks old.

Background—We are using the Snoo at night for sleeping and it has been a godsend. I’m slowing moving his bedtime up sooner. Currently it’s about 9/9:15pm. Last time we tried putting him down at 8:30pm when his bedtime was closer to 9:45 he woke up at 9:30pm crying…so we are trying to go slowly and moving it up by 15 minutes every few nights. He usually sleep about 8 hours and will wake around 5/5:30am. I will nurse him in one side. Burp, let him finish pooping, change him and then nurse him on the other side before putting him back in the snoo (about 35 minutes for the routine).

My end goal is to have him go down at 7pm wake up and wake at 7am. and I admit, I am being selfish and letting him nighttime sleep until 7:30/8am. Because when he is awake it wants to be held but HATES the carrier and wants my arms. I take advantage of that 1-2 hours alone to eat breakfast, drink coffee, take care of my dog, and get things done/cleaned around the house.

Anyways, more to the point, for the last 5-6 weeks I have managed to get the first and second nap in the crib that would last 40min to 1.5hr). I’m following daytime wake windows and that seemed to help a lot with the evening crying/witching hour. However, last week with the second nap he started waking up about 15-20 minutes after being transferred in the crib. Now this week he’s waking 10-15 minutes after being in the crib for the first nap.

I have accepted the afternoons are for contact naps. But the morning naps were supposed to be in the crib where I would have my time to do chores, hydrate and eat while he sleeps in the crib. BUT is this a growth spurt? Is this my new reality? We change the diaper, swaddle and nurse to sleep. I then continue to rock him for 8-10 minutes before transferring. He will only fall asleep on my while nursing and I just don’t want a habit to be created cause it’s a lot when he’s asking for the boob every hour (when he wakes and when to sleep). And then I can’t rely on my husband or parents to help put him down for sleep if he’s expected to be nursed to sleep every time.

So basically I’m looking for advice and other people’s experiences. Did your baby also stop liking the crib for naps? Do you also have to swaddle and nurse your baby to sleep? When does that end/should I be looking to start a new sleep routine? Like no swaddle, no nursing and just rocking your baby to sleep?
I was hoping to start trialing having my baby sleep with an arm out of the swaddle as he looking like maybe trying to roll stomach to back but idk how to do that when I can’t even get him to sleep normally.

TIA
