I live in the middle of nowhere and I'm stuck in a job I hate. I've been looking for a new job every day for a few months and I haven't found anything. I feel like I'm looking for a unicorn job but the job I want isn't even that ideal. I went to college for one year in a class I didn't even want but didn't go another year because I was struggling in highschool and figured I'd have a difficult time in a real college class. I'm stressing out at even the thought of applying for a job knowing I'll be competing against someone that isn't disabled, has an actual degree, experience and networking for a position that might not even exist.

I have a hard time asking for help because I'm used to things not ending well. I'm grossed out by my body. I don't have any friends, everyone around my age left and I was the dumbass that stayed. I have a sister who isn't autistic that was able to move out, get an actual degree, get a good job, and be in a relationship + have friends all well I'm stuck at home trying to find a little bit of joy in my shitty life.

I want to make sure everything is setup right. I would have downloaded the proton vpn app if it didnt install gnome with it. Is there anything else i should know as ive never used a vpn before? Also how would i test it see if everything works?

Ive never used a vpn before and i want to make sure im setting it up right. I know there's a linux app i can download but ive heard im better off using network manager if i use kde. How would i test it to make sure it works? Im on fedora kde.

I have a FX507ZI laptop and my controllers (series x, dualsense, switch 1 pro controller) keep randomly disconnecting. I've tried updating controller firmware, used different controllers, switched os (windows 11, pop os, and currently using fedora kde), used a USB Bluetooth adapter, used a USB cable, and updated my bios but I still get disconnects. This time I noticed after my Xbox controller disconnected I got a notification saying the battery was at 8%. When I turned it back on it was at 50% and after I turned it off and on again it was at 100%. I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue, I'm not sure if it's even a Linux issue. Any ideas what it could be?
