2 euploids and 1 LLM at almost 41… another doctor said I should go for donor eggs

Hi! Just wanted to share a positive story. I had a failed transfer last year and decided to do embryo banking before moving ahead with another transfer (have 2 euploids and 1 LLM on ice from eggs I froze when I was 31 and 36).

Started stims in November 2025. After 4 days, 5 follicles were growing and doctor decided to cancel the cycle due to low response (clearly a mistake). Got my period and had several cysts. He put me on BC for 3 weeks and started meds again in early January. Again, doctor cancelled the cycle and said I was in pre menopause and should use donor eggs. I didn’t believe that diagnosis and changed doctor.

Had a retrieval in early June that yielded one low quality aneuploid. Had another ER 2 weeks ago (July 29), made 4 excellent quality blasts and got 2 euploids and 1 LLM. I’m turning 41 next week, so I’m extremely happy with the results.

To all my IFV warriors, you got this!

Size at trigger

Hello! I’m 40 and 11 months and I’m triggering tonight (double trigger). I have 12 follicles, 11 of them between 16 and 18.5 mm. The other one is 12 mm. I’m afraid that I’m triggering too early. My doctor didn’t want to wait another day. Could you please share your experience? Thanks!!

UPDATE: 10 retrieved, 9 mature!!!!!

DHEA for 30 days and testosterone levels through the roof

Hello everyone! I’m 40 and 9 months young and trying to bank embryos. My extremely experienced doctor put me on DHEA about a month ago (25 mg 3 times per day). I told him that my testosterone levels are usually on the high side, but he said it didn’t matter. I checked my levels yesterday, and my total testosterone is 71.2 ng/dL, a lot higher than the recommended threshold. Should I be concerned? I have an appointment with him tomorrow, if my AFC is decent, I will start stimming right away. I’m concerned that such high testosterone levels could damage egg quality. Any advice? Thanks!

Hello everyone, I’m currently trying to do 2 ERs to bank more embryos before moving ahead with another transfer (first one failed to implant). I currently have 1 vial of frozen sperm and two doctors said I could use that vial twice (for ICSI) instead of buying another one (which is quite expensive as I have to ship them from the US). Both explained that sperm is strong and that the thawing re-freezing and re-thawing process wouldn’t affect sperm quality. Any thoughts? Thanks!!!!
