Born to be a lover girl, forced to be an avoidant.

For the longest time, akala ko independent lang ako kasi gusto ko. Although, I truly love being alone and minding my own business... it gets lonely din minsan.

I pushed my feelings aside and cared too much about other people's feelings and perception of me kaya heto si gaga, lost.

Nakalimutan kong magkaron ng pakealam sa iba kasi the moment that I care, nasasaktan lang ako.

I always always trust the wrong people. And I hate myself sa huli when it happens.

People who I know are only into casual stuff when they're dating. So yeah, people around me did affect the way I see relationships and the way I process my own feelings. Feeling ko bawal maging clingy or showy.

And it kills me kasi I'm not the type to be who I am when I know they ain't gonna like me for me. I usually mirror who I am with.

Mababaw how it sounds like but I'd love to truly fall in love and be loved for who I am.

Di ko naman isisisi totally sa lahat ng nakapaligid sakin kung bakit ako ganito but they had an impact for sure and the long period of time na naging ganito ako was enough to turn my whole being into someone I am not.

I was called distant and nonchalant as a joke but I think that's half meant. I truly stopped caring for people especially when they harm my peace.

Now it's hard for me to want to get to know someone without fearing na baka when they get bored of me or when they see something in me na di nila magustuhan or iba ako sa idea nila sa isip nila ay they'll lose their feelings and respect towards me.

Kasi I was used to mirroring people nga. What if they see me for who I am and I wasn't who they had in mind? Easy to say, "then they're not the right person for you" but it's hard if you have feelings for someone and you naturally wanna get on their good side.

I genuinely wanna love and be loved pero parang ang hirap nowadays. It doesn't help that my hobbies, interests, and lifestyle are not the usual things I see in dating posts/profiles.

I think this is my day 2 of yearning and venting. I wanna experience love. But like I said in my previous post, I'm not ready to get hurt.

I always think that love and pain go hand in hand but can't the world be a little gentle and go easy on me with the hurting?

I wanna love but I don't know how to truly love someone beyond my idea of love.

It'll take someone very gentle, understanding, and patient to teach me how to love. Hindi naman dapat obligasyon ng iba to in the first place, pero I'd love to be with someone na mataas both EQ and IQ to the point na it'll flow in me rin.

Nakaka-overthink pala

to meet someone and to get to know them. To show all versions of yourself, even the mundane and controversial parts of you. How do y'all do it?

Paano yung talking stage and getting to know each other stage without the fear of being too much or too little for the other person?

Does poor communication skill make you a bad employee?

I'm an introvert and I prefer working on my own, but I wouldn't mind working with a team either. Prefer ko lang to be given a task to do so I think more of a follower ako. My role din naman is pretty much non voice and more on creativity.

But I think I lack the proactivity and initiative sa paningin ng higher-ups kasi I don't communicate much sa kanila and just usually communicate sa team instead. We know hierarchy din naman minsan na from boss to team lead so ganon siya samin team lead and teammates ang nakakausap ko madalas kasi sa kanila narerely info altho head is checking from time to time.

I know we should be visible sa mga boss/head natin so they'll see our efforts pero for some reason ay ang sipsip kasi ng dating sakin ng ganon. As long as nagagawa ko work ko okay na ko.

Ngayon nagkakaproblema ako kasi kahit ginagawa ko best ko sa task na binibigay sakin nagkakaroon ng butas minsan dahil sa miscommunication or may info na namimiss i-rely then ako yung nasisisi.

I honestly have a short term memory kaya di ko madefend madalas sarili ko sa gantong instances. I just do my task and get over it usually.

Pero pansin ko kasi na nagiging problema ko yung ganto even before, with a different boss. Dahil di ako sobrang ma-chat sa kanila ay napagsasabihan ako dahil nagkakamali ako minsan and it looks like kaya ko nagkamali dahil nga di ako nagtatanong sa kanila when in fact i usually ask sa team.

Fresh grad po me kaya I need tips and advices. Please be kind po sa responses thank you.

I'm starting to think that I'm actually incompetent

I'm lucky to be a part of a good company, environment-wise. Supportive and friendly culture due to the small size of the team. Salary and benefits are enough to survive.

Given that this is a small company, everyone must be very independent and adaptable to tasks. I believe I was doing well in the beginning but I started to slowly lose motivation to do so.

My partner resigned. My role is tied to their role, we go hand-in-hand. Scared to specify because the team lurks here on reddit but just think that that person is the brain and I'm on the execution side.

When they left, I felt so pressured to be both the thinker and the doer. Although our boss understands that I can't shoulder the task of that person so things weren't exactly that hard but on my end it is.

Company went on changes and I feel like I can't keep up anymore. My role is easily replaceable and that makes me feel more bad about myself. I don't know if this is the path that I truly want for myself. I am applying the learnings from school but I feel like I'm lacking due to feedback in my outputs. Understandable. I don't know if I'm good at anything at all because honestly I don't think I'm doing a good job in my role.

I wanna resign but job hunting looks hard rn based on the people on job related subs here. I can't afford to lose my source of income. I just truly genuinely honestly really feel like resigning is the best thing for both me and the company.

Maybe this is also my fear. That the culture of my next job isn't like this. I don't like office politics. I just want to work, get paid, and rest without drama and toxicity.
