me personally, my take would be cut pichu, jiggly & either lucario or greninja, n if needed cut incineroar,
maybe add dragonite for ZA mega rep, ceruledge/armourage either one of them bc itd be more interesting then another starter

i think all characters need new movesets, make mario use his powerups, make ganondorf not a falcon clone😑 n talking about clones, i think echos should be out, and semi clones get reworked so they’re not a semi clone anymore, like fox n falco
i hope the next smash is genuinely smaller for competitive reasons and just to make it more smooth, smash brawl was like a perfect amount of fighters.
speaking of brawl, i rly do hope as well that we get a story mode such as brawls, for the next smash as ultimates story mode isnt even a story mode, n i hope we get more fun minigames and such like the 3ds version had

hey yall, i wanted to try this, i saw a youtuber make a vid like this n i wanted to make my own! so i made a roster for every single smash game, if they all dropped today. from ultimate all the way down to 64.
i tried to make this as reasonable as possible, wo bias, prob will be maybe like 2 or 3 picks that are biased but besides that lets start top up.
Super Smash Bros Ultimate:
Nothing changed.
not adding any characters so roster stays, as is.
Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS:
this one was by far the one of the hardest ones to make, the changes you have to decide between almost 30 of these fighters will be cut and it had to be fair. the first round started off very challenging. 😅
one of the major changes from Ultimate to Wii U/3DS is that we gotta cut half of the 3rd Party reps down as this game has a lil under half of what Ultimate has!
• cut out all echo fighters
(daisy, dark samus, pichu, lucina, chrom, dark pit, ken, ritcher)
• cut out most semi-clones
(dr mario, falco, lucas, roy, toon link)
• cut sheik
• cut ike
• cut zero suit samus
• cut jigglypuff
•3rd party fighters who are cut: mega man, bayonetta, joker, terry, sephiroth, & kazuya
got rid of mega man, as i felt ryu is a better rep of capcom overall.
bayonetta simply bc she didnt deserve her placement, it was rigged man.
joker was close but didnt make it.

sephiroth would but couldnt afford a second Final Fantasy rep.

Super Smash Bros Melee is a fun one, because its the strongest competitive scene in smash and still remains very popular, i turned the 35 roster count, into 25, which is easier then i thought it would be.
I also intended to make this version, a more fun and unique version. with different movesets used, and competitive would be really cool.
First smash too that has no 3rd party representation at all! so sonic and hero are automatically gone!
Whos removed:

• piranha plant
• diddy kong
• king k rool
• lucario
• captain falcon
• ness
• meta knight

this is what id hope happens for a next smash reboot in all honesty, cutting it in half, i made here a 40 fighter roster and didnt add any newcomers, just straight cut. id hope itd have maybe 5 new dlc but besides that, this is what mine is.
i tried cutting it down a lot, theres only a few fighters i couldnt add on but im fine w it (mega man, mr game n watch, mewtwo)

so ive been getting into these smash rosters and who should be on them and who shouldnt, and after a few trial and errors i think the best way i can put it is around 72, with cutting and adding, with 55 of the original fighters and 17 new-comers!
i gave mario 9 reps (11 if you count yoshi n wario), 7 pokemon reps, 5 zelda reps, 5 FE reps, and kirby with 4 reps, the rest are 3 and under.
i felt like i was fair on the 3rd parties and i tried and kept it to a more rated E/ low T rated game as ultimate had a bunch of wacky guys like bayonnetta, simon, snake and those arent characters kids tend to know so i tried to keep it on a nintendo level. cloud is very popular and respected so he stays despite his game
tails n eggman should both be in the game, id prefer both over shadow and shadow is a top 3 sonic character for me. and eggman would be another villain rep which smash needs bad.
i think spyro and bomberman are self-explanatory, they deserve a spot. spyro is more iconic then crash, thats my hot take, everyone knows that lil purple dragon, n hes dope.
hisuian trainer was a fun one to make, replacing pokemon trainer and making charizard a individual spot. i think it would be fun to have hisuian decidueye and samorutt since theyre final evos are only hisuian, not pre evos. so 2 final starters and quilava would be very fun.
reworks: mario, luigi, peach, rosalina, zelda, ganondorf, yoshi, DK, king k rool, palutena, marth, isabelle, charizard, greninja, olimar, wii fit trainer, little mac, mega man, & ryu.

tails/knuckles i think is the perfect fighter to have a second rep for the sonic franchise. it would work like pyra/mythra where down b would switch you from tails to knuckles. they could both have their own unique moveset. i think this is the best way to portray it as so many sonic characters are deserving to be in tails, eggman, amy, shadow, knuckles and thats abt it but still😭

if i had more spots, would love to add waluigi, krystal/falco, another ARMS rep (even though we really dont🤣), octoling, probably another sonic rep, and maybe a metroid rep like sylux. but ultimately i think 64 is the perfect number to keep this roster at, no more nor less.
with rosalina, there is no more “& luma”, shes gonna have a different fighting style that will incorporate lumas, just less.

also tried this sets new crogunk/toxicroak which i like, plus poison, as well i seen sudowoodo also could be a good one but i like falinks damaging increasing wo it being an ex.
this decks been working pretty well for me though, im excited for this sets ranked
