Want to quit addictive habit but don’t want to lose weight

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but I’m just starting to research. If I lose weight I’ll look weird, but I do want the side effect of quitting a dopamine seeking habit. Has anyone used it for this?

Does this read like AI to you?Specifically asking people who read published fiction for fun.

This reads to me the way AI talks. The metaphors remind me of metaphors it uses and the syntax is the same. I am NOT talking about em-dashes. I’m only really interested in answers from people who regularly read traditionally published fiction.

I was handicapping myself

Once I got repped and staffed for a while and had some success, I started taking very bad advice from my reps, which was to not write unless I was getting paid. I ended up chasing some stupid development that didn’t pan out and that I didn’t care about because there were studio attachments, and, meanwhile, I didn’t write anything of my own for years. Total waste of time and I’m worse off for it because I like to write, I got into this business because I like to write, and I didn’t realize reps don’t usually understand that. I only figured this out because I started teaching and realized I was jealous of my students. Don’t be like me.

Phenobarbital aggression in adult foster husky?

I have been fostering a 5 year old male unaltered husky with a seizure disorder since April 12. He was off his meds while he was at the shelter for three weeks and had a seizure so they were going to put him down. Since we took him in, he’s been taking 60 mg of phenobarbital daily. He had bloodwork done recently and all levels are fine. He weighs about 50 lbs.

He is a good, chill boy most of the time, but he has also become increasingly aggressive since we started fostering him/ since he went back on his meds. He lunges, barks and growls at my husband when he does things like try to clean the couch. He gives me a hard stare and has a total aggression meltdown when he gets tangled in his leash on walks. He was NOT like this the first few weeks we had him and yes I know about the 3,3,3 rule but I really wonder if it’s being caused by his meds. I read pheno can cause aggression.

He has had only had one seizure in the past few months, at the end of May. This was the result of his spending the night at a board and train and refusing to take his medication there. Otherwise the medication is working.

Should we change his medication? And if so, to what? He is going to the vet to get neutered tomorrow so I also plan to ask the vet, but wanted to know if anyone has experienced anything like this.

Please don’t tell me to talk to the rescue. They are overwhelmed and it seems like it’s up to me to deal with this for now. It is what it is.

State of selling comedy pitches to streamers right now?

Has anyone sold a comedy pitch to a streamer recently WITHOUT a big actor or big name showrunner attached? In all this talk about how to pitch, sometimes I think this piece gets lost.

Adopt Benji!

He is 5 years old and was surrendered to the shelter in Los Angeles because his family couldn’t afford his medication. He has a seizure disorder but does not have seizures as long as he takes his meds. He very calm, loves his people, and is not destructive or reactive to other dogs. He needs a female husky-experienced owner or owners, no kids. Rescue is Sweet Angel Dog Rescue.

Foster we have had for a month suddenly charging and growling at husband

He is an adult husky with a seizure disorder on phenobarbital. He’s always liked me more but my husband feeds him and takes him on walks just fine. He has growled at him in the past but yesterday he attacked the vacuum while my husband was using it and after that he would not let him even get up to cross the room without growling and barking at him. No biting or showing of teeth though. I know he’s just scared but any advice?

I have an easy foster husky at home who I’m having trouble bringing myself to promote when so many huskies are in such worse situations. He can be aloof so he needs a specific owner who wants that and I have no idea how to find it. One of my favorite senior huskies from the shelter is being returned by POS adopters. A “rescue” is desperately looking for new fosters for some dogs that are probably unadoptable. Where are all these dogs supposed to go? A few years ago it seemed like there was hope, but now I don’t know. I kind of just want to stick to volunteering and fostering and give up on networking because it just seems endless.
