Some wood glue seepage between the 2x4’s on the top of my first-time DIY sofa bar table. Guessing the dried glue won’t absorb wood stain the same as wood, and the resulting discoloration will really stick out, so is painting rather than staining my only option? TYIA

Attempting to update 80’s era fixture (11” opening) with 5/6” LED retrofit kit and “something” to cover the gap? TYIA!

Hoping to use existing socket connection, avoid rewiring for a new can & avoid drywall repair, etc. No luck finding “wider” LED retrofit kits or “extender” rings. Any ideas appreciated. Thank you!

How can I update 1980’s recessed light with LED retrofit kit? Opening is 9” ish (11” including trim on ceiling) but only finding LED retrofit kits for 5-6” opening. Hoping to avoid re-wiring or replacing housing & drywall repair, etc. TYIA!

Any street parking recommendations near Garfield Park for Sunday? TYIA

Driving down from NW burbs for the BofA 13.1 and the UIC shuttling not feasible due to timing of a post-race commitment. Wondering if any of the side streets immediately surrounding the park are better than others. Thank you!
