Final Comcast Interview

Hey guys, I passed my interview pre-screen with a senior recruiter for Comcast with flying colors. I have never interviewed in a super official setting like this for a corporate role (inbound sales). Could someone please give me some advice if you have interviewed for similar roles or with Comcast?

Comcast Inbound Sales Full Interview Tips Needed

I have finished up my video pre screen with a senior recruiter and now I've been selected to move through the pipeline to the full, one hour interview. Can anyone who has interviewed with Comcast for inbound sales give me a rundown of what to expect?

I would also just love hearing general tips for interviews for sales positions if you have some insight 🥹 I'm so nervous. I've never done an official interview like this.

Advice Wanted (Successful Comcast Hires Especially)

Hello all! I am a 30 year old man that just confirmed a video pre-screening interview with a Comcast representative. I have never had a job that provides insurance, a 401k match, or forty hours a week. The position is WFH sales representative handling inbound calls. Does anyone have any advice for me here? I'm so nervous I could puke and I have to go into my current job in an hour and a half.

Edit - I would especially love if someone that went through this experience for Comcast successfully could speak to their experience during the process.

Xfinity Mobile Trade in Values

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know that the assessed price of my trade in on Xfinity Mobile to upgrade my line was different by $450 when chatting with an agent versus just going through the process to upgrade on the website. They offered me $5 that way and $455 in chat. I don't know if this has been posted here before, but figured I'd share.

The Reverse Ponytail

Hey there long hair fam, I'm a dude with long dark brown hair that is very straight, basic white people hair but is actually pretty thick for how thin the actual hairs are. My biggest struggles always came from having a lot of damage to my hair whenever I would have to put it up for work or something in a regular ponytail. I finally went to my mom for help and that's when she taught me the reverse ponytail.

You basically do a normal ponytail, pull the hair tie tight and then back it off from the base a little so you can create a divide in the center of the base of the ponytail. Then tuck your tail up and through the hole, et voila. You can tighten it by pulling the hair tie towards the base of the ponytail.

It's a super simple thing that actually looks pretty good and the added bonus of almost totally removing the weight of your hair which creates a lot of damage in a normal ponytail.

My (Admittedly) Very Late Introduction to Androcentrism

First of all, hello there everyone! I joined the community out of an interest in the discussion topic, I am big time lover of history and as such I have of course learned about matriarchal societal structures. The rise of the patriarchy was obviously the result of violent coordination between men, so I can't really say that it seems like we randomly got the short end of the stick, but more like we didn't get the chance to pick for ourselves.

Anyways, I just wanted to give a little introduction of how I ended up here before I dove into the topic that I am here about specifically. I consider myself a feminist, I'm a socialist (at least), and have been really doing the mental work to switch my brain away from a mode of patriarchal thinking. I won't lie, it isn't easy at all, it takes active effort but it seems like it's worth it. I don't know if I was being complacent, I thought I was doing a decent job until I discovered the term androcentrism.

Needless to say, reading the Wikipedia entry on it while not necessarily groundbreaking in some ways, opened my eyes to just how naive I think I was. So much of who we are foundationally, what is ingrained into us before we even know what politics is, hell before we can even string together a decent sentence, is riven with a certain latent level of misogyny(? - is androcentrism misogyny in and of itself, or the results of misogyny?). To say that I was devastated would be an understatement.

So now I've been sitting here all night reading about what androcentrism is and all of the different ways it manifests itself. I'm thinking a good start would be to pick up the book Invisible Women as it is mentioned a lot in the Wikipedia entry. I guess I'm basically here to ask the women here if this is an issue for them? Does it bother them? Would a man trying to correct himself on these things come across as purely performative, or would it be something you'd appreciate seeing men talk about more?

I really appreciate everyone that takes enough time to read this and offer me a helping hand.
