Just getting started with CEHv13

I have no previous certification. The lab from CEH costs $199, which isn't an issue but it says that it's set up for v10, not v13.

I'm sure most of it will be applicable, but what will I be missing?

Key fobs keep saying low battery

2016 RAV4 with the smart key. Both of my smart keys keep singing low battery, and sometimes they make the car can't detect them. After I touch the key to the start button, it will work fine for the rest of the day with no warnings.

I've changed the batteries, I've tested the batteries, and there's no issue with the batteries in the fobs themselves.

Had an aftermarket remote start in the vehicle for the past 5 years that I removed thinking that might be the issue, but the issue continued after I removed the box.

I've had it since 2019, and I've never had an issue with it before. My wife has a 2012 Highlander also with the smart key and is not experiencing any problems. So I don't think the age of the vehicle has anything to do with it.

"Broken" Ender 5 Plus

I have picked up a used Ender 5 Plus that is alleged to not be working. It powers on, but nothing happens. The screen has no display.

So I opened it up, and the cable connecting the mainboard the screen is missing. So that explains that.

In any case, my plan was to replace the mainboard and screen with a BTT Mini E3 and TFT50. Am I looking at any gotchas, or better options?

Bambu Transparent PETG same issue on multiple prints

I printed one benchy, and got the result you see here. I've seen this happen occasionally with my prints, and a reprint is usually perfect.

Except this time. The reprint had the exact same issue.

Bambu P2S; Bambu Studio; Bambu PETG Transparent

Outer Wall speed 200mm/s; Nozzle Temp 250, Bed Temp 70.

Vilros weeebot mini

I have this robot kit, amongst a few others that were gifted to my oldest son several years ago. Now my younger kids saw a robot in a restaurant, and are obsessed with robots. So I dug out this kit that my oldest never opened. I've gotten it's basic functions to work, but I'm trying to figure out how to use the computer to program it to do more than it's four basic things.

Other than their incredibly clunky app and software, is there anything else that I can use to work on this? I like the block instructions, it's very easy for my second grader to understand.

Bubbles bubbles everywhere

When I give my kids a bubble bath, no matter how little bubble I use, when I drain the tub bubbles always come out of the overflow. Sometimes it'll even come out the next day when there has been no bubble bath in over 24 hours. I did snake this drain and got a very large wad of hair out, and it does drain quite well, so I don't know why these bubbles keep coming back up.

New to Ender 3

I was given a broken ender 3. I replaced the motherboard with a BTT SKR mini E3, put a new direct drive extruder, and the dual z-axis.

After a lot of trial and error with klipper and getting this printer to actually be identified and work, I still have been unable to get the screen to work, even after rewiring the pinouts. I tried using a working screen from another ender 3, and all I got was the creality splash screen and a beep tone. The screen that was attached to this one turns on its backlight but doesn't do anything else.

I was finally able to try a test print, and it's not going well.

This is PETG, the bed is 55, the nozzle temp is 230. You can hear the sound the extruder is making. I'm not sure what is going on here.

This is also a brand new glass plate and I have not been able to scrape the old PETG off of it from my previous failed print attempt, after klipper informed me of a short that I traced to a broken wire. Fixed that.

My previous experience has been with bamboo A1 and P2S, where there is zero tinkering and I want to tinker. But I'd like to get this thing to print once successfully before I start tweaking things.

Where should I start looking to fix what appears to be a feed issue?

I also have another ender 3 V3, and the larger version of the ender 3 that I recently picked up. I'm told they are in working condition but I have not tested them yet.

Just took a bike ride longer than up and down the driveway for the first time in forever

My daughter wanted me to go for a bike ride with her so I took out my son's bike from when he was a teenager. Other than the seat feeling like a brick, It went okay.

I recently dropped 65 lb so I can get on the bike without it screaming at me to get the f off.

It is a Giant and the frame is marked XS, which implies it is a very small frame.

I assume I can put any seat on this that I can get, maybe some kind of gel cushion pad?

Gave my kids a glow in the dark bath today with glow sticks. I was a little over enthusiastic getting the glow started, and one of the sticks broke. I now have glowing dots all over my freshly renovated bathroom. While I and the children were very amused, my wife much less amused.

Was able to get some of it off while it was still wet, but now that it is dried I cannot get the rest with my regular household cleaners. I also now need a UV light to see them, as the glow has faded.

Any ideas on how to clean this?

I don't remember the specific sequence of commands. I don't remember the exact requirements for deploying a file as MSIX. I CAN do it. Put me in front of the system, and I can do it. I just can't describe how.

And that's probably why I'm still unemployed.

Ugh.
