I stopped at another Goodwill while I was out running errands earlier today, after my last post. I think these 3 That 70s Show sets finally complete my collection for that show. One Crazy Summer was a movie I watched countless times as a kid, every time it was on WPIX Channel 11 on Saturday afternoon. The other is a blind buy, I have seen the original but never this 1.

Just grabbed these from Goodwill. The Venom trilogy is 3 separate discs which I always like to see in multi-movie sets like this, and it included a digital code insert with 3 working codes so now I have them all in my digital library too.

I grabbed these TV season sets today. My local Goodwill seems to be relaxing on their multi-disc set price hikes. Last week these would have been $8-$10 per season, but they dropped the prices back down to $2.99 each.

I have Married With Children season 1 so now I have a bit of a gap between seasons I own but you take what you can get when you thrift.

The Cobra Kai season is my 1st on physical so again I take what I can get.

The mistake is NewsRadio. I already own the season 1&2 set but when I was inspecting the discs for scratches there was an extra disc in 1 of the cases and it's season 3 disc 1 so I must have seen that and got it In my head that this was a season 3 set. Oh well. The set I own already is the Mill Creek version though. This 1 is the Sony release. Not sure if it matters which 1 I keep.

And, speaking of the Mill Creek release of the s1&2 set, if you own that check the last disc to make sure the final episode is there. My copy was missing the final episode. I bought it at Goodwill a few years ago so I took a chance and contacted their support. They asked me for a picture of the disc that was missing the episode and after I sent it to them they mailed out a replacement disc that has the missing episode, and as an apology for the messed up disc they even let me pick out another release free of charge. I chose the 80s Dungeons & Dragons animated series set. They have the absolute best customer service of any company I have ever had to deal with.

Picked these up today. $5 each, and neither was the half price color unfortunately. The Apocalypse Now is a 3 disc set. 1st disc has original and redux versions of the film. 2nd disc says Hearts of Darkness, not sure what that is. 3rd is special features. I grew up in the 80s but I never got around to watching this movie, I think it's time to fix that.

The 007 movie I grabbed cause I recently finished thrifting all the 007 movies on DVD and have started grabbing blurays as I find them now. I think ilthis is maybe the 5th or 6th blu I've found.

I'm using the Imgur app as an example but this happens in every app. When I take a screenshot and tap the 'capture more' button it cuts off the top of the screen. How do I get it to stop doing that? In the imgur example I want to include the title of the post in my screenshot but once I tap the 'capture more' button I can't get it to include that part of the screen.

Pixel 8, Android 16. Stock OS, not rooted.

My local Goodwills have all upped their physical media prices. TV series sets are now like $8 and up but these 2 sets slipped thru at the single disc movie price of $3 so I grabbed them up quick. Both are series I'm trying to complete. I have the 1st 3 seasons of each and now these.

I found the Hitman's Bodyguard a few years ago so I jumped on the sequel when I found that too.

I have been ripping my Blurays for a few years now with MakeMKV and never had any issues doing so but this is the 1st time I tried making a backup of 1 of them. It completed ok but when I tried to open the backup in VLC it just kept looping like it was trying to open it but couldn't. so then I tried just playing the disc in VLC and I got this error saying the disc is encoded for region A and can't be played in my drive. The disc opens properly in MakeMIV and I'm currently ripping the content with no issue. MakeMKV lists the DVD region correctly as 1 but I can't find the bluray region listed anywhere. I'm in the US and this is a stock (unpatched, unmodified) drive I bought on Amazon. I've never run into an issue with bluray regions before, is it possible for a drive to be different regions for DVD vs Blu-ray playback? Like, if it says DVD region 1 does that automatically mean it's region A for Bluray, or is it possible that it's somehow region B or C for Bluray while still being 1 for DVD? Is there somewhere specific I need to look for the Bluray region setting? Even in Windows when I check properties on the drive it only lists DVD region with noention of Bluray region anywhere

I am broke and just have Jellyfin server installed on my desktop PC and my media is stored on an external hard drive. I can't afford to buy a NAS or anything other than what Im currently using but I would like to try out the LiveTV feature. Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere that will tell me what to enter into each field to get this working? I have been googling for a few hours but I can't find anything to help me get this set up.

So, I tried to post this when I was in the store yesterday but it kept failing to submit. Has anybody tried this, is it any good? I know you all loved the dill pickle mustard, what are your thoughts on dill pickle ranch?

So, some time a few years ago I found a copy of California at Goodwill knowing nothing about the band other than that Mike Patton was in it, and I love that disc. I was at the same Goodwill today and I found another Mr Bungle disc!

I saw this still sealed and half price so I had to grab it. Not sure why I never picked it up when it was released. I know I watched it and I remember liking it but it wasn't in my collection, until today.

Ok, so I grew up with rock music in the 80s and 90s and got into electronic music in the 90s to 2ks but honestly, I love Taylor's 1989 album. I was kind of surprised to see this 1 at Goodwill but I guess people didn't like it all that much? I've heard the Fate of Ophelia song on the radio and it's not all that bad so I decided to grab the disc.

So, I'm not really a yogurt person but I recently had a tooth pulled and I'm waiting to get an implant so I'm on a soft food diet for a while. I grabbed a few yogurts last week at Aldi and so far they have been ok, but today I tried the peach flavor for the first time. Everything was ok until I got all the way down to the bottom and all of a sudden there was something crunchy in my mouth.

Any ideas what it might be? Should I be concerned?

I'm at the store now and see this in the freezer? Looks like it could be good, anybody here tried it and have any thoughts on it?

Grabbed this from Amazon last week, it just arrived last night . I don't have Prime so I usually wait until I have enough items to get the free non-prime free shipping but there was something I needed to get quick so I was looking at movies to try and get me over the minimum. I found this for $10 so I grabbed it. Shipping would have been $7 if I didn't get it so I only paid $3 more for the order than I would have without the movies.

I bought the Mummy trilogy DVD set back when it was originally released but I have no clue where it is anymore so now I have it in HD and with digital copies in my MA library too

whenever I use the touchpad 2-finger scrolling in mint it seems to jump like 5 or so lines at a time. when I use the same 2-finger scrolling in Windows its a much smoother motion. how can I get Mint to do a smoother scroll? I can't find a setting in the mouse & touchpad window for this.

my current PC is an HP ZBook Power 15 with Win 11 Pro and running Linux Mint 22.3 in VirtualBox, but I also have an HP laptop that doesn't have Windows, it's a full install of Linux Mint 22.3, and it behaves the same. actually, its not just the touchpad but connecting a mouse and using the scroll wheel in Linux is not smooth either.

the touchpad in both laptops is a synaptics and the mouse I use is a wireless logitech m550 mouse.

the videos below were recorded in Firefox but the issue is not specific to Firefox. the whole OS is not smooth. if I open the main menu and scroll through the list of apps, or open the System Settings window and scroll through the options there it behaves the same.

also, yes smooth scrolling is enabled in the Firefox settings.
