Certificate of Residence from Immigration

Do you need a 1 year lease contract? Can you get the Certificate if just staying at a hotel?

I know an agent can do anything, but I'm asking what are the requirements if I go myself.

Does it make you uncomfortable if a bargirl is flirting with another customer while still drinking with you?

You buy the girl a LD or two and enjoying together, playing pool, flirting, but another guy walks in that she seems to know, then she (impressively) manages to flirt with him while still flirting with you. Everytime it's my shot (and she thinks I'm not looking), she subtly goes to him quickly for a quick flirt. Then comes back to me and flirts with me, not any less intensely. I know she knows that I'm going to leave after a game or two, and she's setting up her next LDs with a return customer she knew from another night (maybe the previous night). Is this acceptable? Or is my turn MY turn? He was patient and respectful, just drinking alone and not even watching our game even though I felt he came just to see her. Nothing against the guy. Anyway, I was impressed with her skill at managing us both at the same time without either feeling slighted. He got a little unexpected attention even tho she was drinking on my tab, and I didn't feel less attended to because of it because she came back to me and flirted just as intensely. Although impressed, I was turned off too, enough to not want to go there and buy her drinks again. Is my turn, my turn, or is flirting with another customer while on my tab acceptable as long as she comes back to me as her priority until the drinks are finished?

Bargirl 180 personality

Did you ever experience this? Where you think you're vibing with a girl, buying drinks, playing pool, flirting, maybe you bf her, maybe not, and you're thinking "this girl is really fun!" and "definitely going to come back and see her again" and then....You go back and she is like a totally different person with a different personality, ice cold and not friendly. And its nothing YOU DID, you treated her good and paid her good. I don't know, she said she had a problem, some guy hurt her or something...I didn't even know these girls were capable of relationships.

Should you meet FLs at your long-term rental?

Just makes me think that if you encounter a scammer, it could be bad news if they know where you live.

How do you get a driver's license in Thailand?

Foreigner, and no idea where to start or what's needed to prepare. I'm thinking I need a lease first, then a TM30, then a Certificate of Residence (TM16?) from Immigration, and only then I can find a Driver's License office and apply, and then is there some tests to take? I already have a drivers license from a neighboring ASEAN country.

Do you need to change bank if moving to a new cury while on a Thailand retirement visa?

I know that your address needs to be in the same place that you apply for extension...but does your bank need to be? What if your bank is in a different city than where you live and where you will apply for extension?

Confusing entry field in the Laos Digital Immigration Form

Does anybody know what they want for the "Country origin" field in the LDIF (digital arrival card)? It's under Personal Information. I can't tell if they want the same country as my Nationality, my Country of residence, or the Country I am entering Laos from. They are all 3 different countries in my case.

Did you know you can turn off the on/off sounds? I just realized it.

I always felt the on/off sounds are so annoying. Downloaded the app, connected my speaker, and saw the option to turn off the sounds. Happy camper now 👍

Please help me find the "big bus" to Bangkok?

I took a big bus with reclining seats and huge legroom, toilet on board (although I would not recommend trying to pee while the bus is moving, boy, that was an experience) and charging port at my seat with free water. This was from Sai Tai Mai Sothern Bus Station in Bangkok. I want to take the same type of bus back but cannot find where to get it in Hua Hin. I asked the people who run the Minibus at Market Village but they wouldn't tell me anything, and tbh were very rude.

Is there friction getting a 30 days extension on a 60 days visa exemption?

Question about Pattaya immigration: US citizen, entered on 60 days visa exemption, time is flying by and only 3 weeks left, just wondering how likely I am to be denied another 30 days extension if I apply for it, because I'm renting a condo and have a rental contract that extends beyond my visa expiration date. Does it seem arrogant to immigration to walk in assuming I will get the 30 days extension with a TM30 and rental contract that shows a departure date beyond my original visa exemption expiration? My previous trip to Thailand before this was in 2024 to 2025 and I stayed 5 months that time by doing 1 visa run to Vietnam and 1 30 days extension, exited in March 2025. This is my first trip in 2026.

What is with these guys on Sukhumvit who suddenly call out to you a body part and point to it?

Just walking on Sukhumvit alone at nighttime, minding my own business, and people are fuckin with me. One guy pointed to his eyes and was like "Eyes, eyes" and nothing else. Another guy walking ahead suddenly stops and calls to me "Stomach, stomach" and makes hand motions in front of his stomach like he has a big belly. It's really weird and a buzzkill when you're trying to feel the vibes of Bangkok and enjoy the night.

Do you pay more when you withdraw from an ATM in Phuket than in Bangkok?

I know the ATM fee for a foreign card is usually the same everywhere in Thailand if the bank is the same. Different banks might have different fees but location shouldn't matter. However, the ATM fee is not what I mean. I have experienced inconsistent amounts deducted in my home currency even though the amount withdrawn in THB is the same, the card is the same, and the exchange rate is almost the same. Do you find that your total debit including fee and exchange rate vary from place to place in Thailand? Even if the ATM is the same bank?

Curious about others demeanor and behavior when a FL visits them

Update!!: I find it amazing how many guys misunderstood my post. Maybe I am a bad writer. I was NOT asking for advice on how to behave with FLs. I don't need guidance from randos on reddit. I was interested and curious about how others behave with them. Regardless, I do me and you do you and I am not trying to be you or some lost kid asking how to act. I'm a grown man with my habits and personality set and have years of experience living in Asia and with women. If anyone cares to comment based on the correct interpretation of my post, go ahead. But please don't be confused and think I was asking for advice. It was not a 'question post'.

How do you guys treat FL's when they come to your place? Do you greet them like a friend? start giving instructions like a boss? stay silent and let them lead like a client? Or what? Are you wham bam thank you mam or are you joking around and being entertaining? Are you kind? Do you offer them food or drinks? Are you dom? Do you care if they cum? Do you ever go down on them (don't lie)? And lastly....do they leave happy or quickly? Or both?
