New, looking to buy but have a few questions.

Currently subbed to Disney plus, Hulu, paramount, hbo, prime, and peacock. Looking to consolidate and get a box.

I was under the impression it was free after buying the box but I see that it still has Netflix and Disney apps. Do I still need my subscription for these apps?

Anyone able to message me about rigs?

I went out today in NEFL. I’ve got a 10 ft surf rod and a few smaller 7 ft rods. I was tossing a 3oz pyramid today but the current would just eat it up (was fishing a channel). I just don’t really know how to rig this stuff. I had a 3 way swivel with the pyramid on bottom and about 3 ft of leader to my hook, but I see other people doing all sorts of stuff that’s foreign to me, with Sputnik sinkers, wrapping baits with thread, fancy plastic weigh clips or somethin? Just looking to learn from some of ya, maybe a picture of a full surf rig for smaller fish like pomp and reds, and an explanation of what everything is

Any good online courses geared towards frauds and financial crimes?

Trying to get a spot in my financial crimes unit. Anyone know of any good, hopefully free, online classes or webinars or trainings that would be helpful in that endeavor?

At wits end with my second-born 19 month old..

Man, she gives us a run for our money! I’ve got two daughters; one about 4 years old and my youngest, about 19 months. My oldest was an angel to raise. Had about a two month period of rebellion, but she responded so well to discipline. She understood no, she was easily drawn to positive reinforcement, and simply put made sound choices.

My youngest, on the other hand, is just rough around the edges. She tells us no, she throws fits, has meltdowns, etc.. We try to instill good behavior and practices, such as cleaning up after ourselves. She does OK with it sometimes, especially when her older sister is doing it, but sometimes she just refuses to listen. She knows what we are asking her to do, but just doesn’t want to. As parents, we don’t really hit. We would try and have conversations with her, timeouts and sitting her down on the floor and coming down to her level. It worked for a bit and she was receptive but now isn’t. We would have her stand in the corner for just a minute or two and ask “are you ready to clean?” And she would again, be receptive to this and clean up her toys, but now that isn’t working either.

In the past, we have had an issue with her biting her sister. She doesn’t really do it anymore, kind of grew out of it as she started communicating more.

Naps are consistent, about 2 hours a day at noon to 2, bed time between 7-8. She plays well with her sister but sometimes gets aggressive, pinching and smacking. Usually with this we separate them and try and divert attention.

The purpose of my post is to understand WHY she acts this way compared to her sister and HOW I can best and effectively rectify her behavior.

In marathon with our boat, what’s our best bet to get on some fish?

From north FL visiting for a week, staying on the gulf side. Seen mixed things with all the sargassum making the night for mahi hard. Anyone down here recently get on some good spots?

Not looking for charters, not trying to steal numbers, come down once a year and just trying to get on some fish for supper.

Sold boat, where do I put the money?

0% credit card till 2028 with $5700 (home reno)(plan on paying next tax time)
$28k on 2025 GMC truck (4.5%)
$289k on mtg (5.825%)
$10k savings

Sold boat for 13k to stop putting money into this one and save for bigger. Boat rates are much higher than anything else I’ve got, so I’d rather pay cash.

What should I do with 13k? Pay off current debts? Or take advantage of the lower rates that I currently have and stash money away for the new boat over the next two years or so?

Thirty first Street Neighborhood

What’s this area like? We booked an Airbnb for just a weekend with 2 other couples. Asked the host what the area was like and obviously said it was great, but looking at the map it looks super rundown. What’s this area and the area around Thurgood Marshall Fundamental Middle School like?

Anyone from Northeast FL able to assist with a bottle of Rom Berde?

I collect alcohol that’s not exactly available in the USA. If anyone is from NE FL and visits, and would be able to acquire a bottle or two of Rom Berde, that would be INCREDIBLY appreciated.

Trying not to divulge too much for discretionary reasons. Simply put, I’ve been verbally recruited for one of two spots that will come available in the summer. Nothing promised, just told I’d be great and blah blah blah. This spot is a side of law enforcement that doesn’t really apply anywhere else, but opens doors outside LE down the road, as well as federal should I pursue it.

The latter is another spot that, well, I’ve worked for and used some connections to my advantage, placing me as pretty much top candidate. This spot is a general investigation spot that will help my law enforcement career, but doesn’t really have any significant application outside LE.

WWYD? The spot you’re a shoo-in for now? Or risk it and turn that down, in hopes of a spot that isn’t even open yet?
