Favorite MOLLE Dual AK Mag Pouches?

I'm trying to decide on some MOLLE capable AK mag pouches, and was curious what y'all suggested. I've had good luck with Beez before, so I was about the pull the trigger on a few of theirs, but I really like buckle closures on pouches if I can get them rather than velcro, kinda like the mag pouches that come on a Smersh but... just MOLLE. Anyone make something like that?

Where to get service in the USA on MSA Sordin's

Curious about this, I have a set of MSA Sordin Pro X's that I've had in storage, and I foolishly left an alkaline battery in the battery compartment... which of course burst. I have no problem paying for my own mistakes, and don't mind paying MSA to swap a new battery box in, but it's going to need a replacement. Unfortunately I bought them off Amazon, back in the day when MSA used to sell direct on Amazon... and now I'm looking into service, and it's not entirely clear where to go other than MSA to have them fixed. I've tried to contact MSA directly, and received no response back after several days... only a Mailchimp survey asking about whether my issue was taken care of lol!

So... does anyone know if maybe they have some kind of distributor or service system setup for the USA? Do I need to send them back to MSA in Sweden? Maybe I'm just hosed? The only saving grace is these were my spare pair, but I would really like to have my headsets working again...

Least Problematic EOTechs

I inherited an old EOTech 512, that turns out was part of their recall from years past. Unfortunately I found this out because the sight had been left with Alkaline batteries in it, which corroded and exploded in the battery tray. After emailing back and forth with them, their proposed solution to the issue, rather than fixing the sight and sending it back to me, was to offer me a 50% discount on a new sight. I'd love to have an EOTech in the stable, but I'm well aware they've had some issues recently with QC. Was curious if the EXPS-3s are GTG or whether I should be looking at another model? I need a sight that I can use on a B&T SPC-9 PDW, would like NVG capability, don't particularly need BDC reticle.

Double feeds with APC223

I've got an APC223 SBR that I took to the range a couple days ago, and wound up having some FTF/FTE's with double feeds during my first 100 or so rounds, getting progressively worse throughout the range session. Started with one round every 15-20 rounds, then progressed to just about every round by the end of the session. Is it common that APC223's need a break in period? Is there a recommended gas setting, like running it on the adverse setting for the first few hundred rounds, then dialing it back?

I noticed the gun had almost no recoil... talking, basically none, on the 1.9 setting on the gas block. Racking the bolt manually cycles everything well, and I was seeing both issues where the fired casings would stay on the extractor and get shoved back into the chamber, but also issues where the casings would come off the extractor and the bolt would attempt to pick up another round from the mag and shove it behind the fired casing, inducing a double feed. Using 55gr XM193, some 40gr Fiocchi V-Max that I had laying around, and some 75gr Sierra OTMs from Prvi Partisan all pretty much had the same result. I thought maybe it might be something to do with the 75gr ammo having a slightly longer bullet ogive, but I don't think that's really what's going on. Tried using some old D&H aluminum mags, Lancer AWMs and Pmags, same result, thus I don't think it's a mag or ammo thing.

I do have a Surefire Warden on the end, no suppressor right now. I don't think that's realistically going to impact the bolt velocity.

I will also say, on the fired brass I don't really see any kind of markings on the brass from the extractor ripping at the brass, fired brass seems pretty clean and not fouled. There are no dents or dings on the case walls, they just look like clean, fired brass. Ejection pattern was pretty consistent to my 4 oclock when I did see ejection.

The gun does operate smoothly, with the typical detent feel as the bolt goes home. I'm not feeling any extra grittiness anywhere in the action, the gun seems reasonably clean overall.

Recommendation for a GP

I need a little help finding a decent, reliable GP in the local area, preferably someone who has some experience with GI issues. I've had relatively poor luck trying to deal with GPs associated with the universities or hospitals around here, it seems that even if they really want to help you, they have a script that the lawyers and insurance people make them stick to, and they're not really allowed to deviate from that.

I'm trying to find a smaller, private practice where someone is actually invested in my family's wellbeing. I've really not had good luck finding a Dr that has "clicked" for my family yet, was curious if y'all had any recommendations. I'm in South Durham/North Chapel Hill right on the border.

Has anyone gotten their pre-ordered Conflict DLC tour shirt/signed albums yet?

I preordered a Conflict DLC tour shirt and one of the signed albums the day they were announced, and they said on the website that shipping would begin the week of June 1st. I still haven't seen a shipping notification and we're about three weeks past the projected ship date. Has anyone else been able to get the stuff they ordered or is it just me, waiting and hoping? Would you be nervous at this point?

APC223 - Are FRT's worth it?

Considering sending my APC223 out to EVT, and heavily debating the cost. I have the spare parts sitting around to do the conversion, but the $900 labor fee from EVT is... a lot... and I'm trying to figure out if it's really worth the cost. Does anyone have an APC223 with an EVT FRT conversion in it? Does it work reliably? Thanks in advance, PFA.

Come on Baggy, Get with the Beat...

I was sitting on the couch last night, got a notification from my home security system and wouldn't you know it... there's a massive black bear walking down the street in front of my house.

FYI, be careful walking around at night or if you're going to leave your animals outside unattended. We've been seeing coyotes and deer all week walking up and down our street, day and night... and I've seen bears in a previous house in Chatham county... but this is the first bear I've seen in Durham.

This is near the intersection of I-40 and Hwy-54, on the border between Durham and Chapel Hill.

APC-308 and Optics

Question: Are APC-308's known to be hard on optics like the FN SCAR? Only reason I ask, the two guns are notionally kind of similar in build, and I was curious if anyone knew whether I need to be careful about what kind of scope I mounted. In particular, I've got an old Leupold HAMR with a Deltapoint on top that I love, and think it would be a good match for my 16 inch APC-308, but because the HAMR is discontinued and quite rare, I don't want to bash the scope to death with a rifle that's going to put a lot of wear on it.

Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

Tougher trigger cables for TD-07

Hey all, I have an issue right now with a new TD-07 kit that I gifted my wife for her birthday. I have a couple little cats at home that like to chew things, especially cables, and having lost enough headphone and USB cables to these little furdemons, I need a little help finding a more durable cable that I can leave on the kit long term. I know I can use cable harnesses, zip ties and velcro to hold everything as close as possible to the kit, but I was curious if anyone made a braided or twisted cable that was tougher than the standard trigger cables? Thanks in advance!

Juliet Repair / Restore

Hey everyone, I need a little help... I've got an old pair of vintage Juliets from when I used to do a lot of trail biking. TL;DR: I took a massive spill on a bike one summer and cracked the lenses, scraped the side of the glasses all up, and destroyed the ear and nose socks... basically totaled the glasses. At the time, they weren't all that valuable and I bought another pair because they were available at the time, but I lost those at a trade show a few years back... since then it seems that Juliets are now achieving icon status, and I miss wearing mine, but I can't seem to find another new pair to buy at a reasonable price. I'd like to try to find a way to repair my old ones, but I don't have spare parts.

The beat up frames actually look pretty cool, it's real battle scars, but I need the silicone socks and new lenses... and I'm wondering if anyone offers a repair or refit service for them? Figured I'd ask around, see if anyone knew where to start. Thanks in advance!

I've been looking for a heavier double rider for cooler months, and noticed that Cockpit USA now makes the Road Warrior since the last time I looked at their site. Do any of y'all have one of these?

Issue I'm running into: I'm 6 foot 2, about 185lbs. I'm in good shape, athletic build but not necessarily a body builder. I wear a large tee shirt size, and a large jacket in most brands. Cockpit USA says, according to their fit picker on their site, that I'm a size Small on this jacket, which is absolutely bizarre to me since I'm never a small... hence why I'm asking.

Anyone have experience with these? Anyone have any other recommendations for a tall-guy double rider that has an optional shearling collar? Don't mind spending some money on it, but I'd really like it to be durable and high quality. Horsehide would be awesome, but open to other options.
