What is your opinion about this sub?

Hello everyone. This post isn't meant to be particularly exciting or intriguing. I simply want to share my sincere opinion about this community and the people who inhabit it.

And first of all, I want to thank each and every one of you. Thank you all for your creativity, ideas, and everything related to your languages. Each of your projects is beautiful in its own way, and their overall diversity is so vast that it can be difficult for newcomers to grasp, just as it was for me back then. When I stumbled upon this group a year ago, I was literally overjoyed by how diverse your creativity is and how you manage to fully utilize it. Especially in voiceover, which was a total culture shock for me.

No offense, but I think about 90% of languages are written using Latin or Cyrillic, but that doesn't make them any less interesting. Even using these alphabets, you come up with amazing new letter combinations, creating words and adding flavor to your language. You can literally find anything here to suit any taste, and isn't that wonderful?

Even though I haven't been able to post much here due to unintentional rule violations, I'm still very proud to be part of the conlanger community and, deep down, hope that our work will live on and continue to grow. I'm glad to be with you and would also love to hear your personal opinions on the work in this group.

My first book's translation

Hello everyone. It so happened that a few weeks ago I began translating my first book — Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Yesterday I finally returned to the translation and continued working on it, though it is still in the early stages.

If you don’t mind, please let me know whether you would like me to post updates on the translation progress. These would be shared as excerpts in English and in my conlang, possibly accompanied by IPA transcription.

If anyone is interested, please write in the comments or send me a private message — I would be happy to chat.

Additionally, please share your thoughts on how appropriate the direction I have chosen is for expanding the vocabulary of my language. (The language itself is already fully developed from a grammatical perspective, but the vocabulary is still quite modest; I would like to reach the first 1,000 words by the end of the summer.)

Please see the image above for the complete character key.

Romanization and IPA Reference:

  • Vowels: a /a/, ā /a:/, e /e/, ē /e:/, ə /ə/, ę /ę/, i /i/, ī /i:/, o /o/, ō /o:/, u /u/, ū /u:/, ų /ų/, y /y/
  • Consonants: b /b/, v /v/, g /g/, d /d/, ð /ð/, z /z/, zh /ʒ/, j /j/, k /k/, kh /x/, l /l/, m /m/, n /n/, ng /ŋ/, ' /ʔ/, p /p/, r /r/, s /s/, sh /ʃ/, t /t/, þ /θ/, ts /ʦ/, ch /ʧ/, dz /ʣ/, dzh /ʤ/, ks /ks/, f /f/, h /h/

Important Technical Note on Digraphs:

The three "red" digraphs shown in the image are distinct stylistic versions of the character for the letter /y/. They follow this casing structure:

  1. First: All Uppercase
  2. Second: CamelCase
  3. Third: All Lowercase
