I've had a bad year in general, 2026 has been terrible for me and I just want it over with but the straw that broke the camels back happened today. I haven't been to costco in over a year but recently for some reason I've been craving their blueberry muffins. For as long as I can remember they were £6 for 2 packs of 9 and they were a bloody good size. Now I hadn't been in over a year like I said so I fully expected the price to have gone up but what I didn't expect is what I found when I went today. No longer are they 2 for a certain amount, they're simply £5 each now and they no longer come in packs of 9 but packs of 8 and they're half the size they used to be.

It seems miniscule and petty of me to be so worked up about it but in that moment I genuinely just felt the weight of the world come crashing down on me. I thought 'society is really just getting worse day by day' we pay more and get less. I know that's been the way of it for a while but it really just hit me hard today. I just wanted some fucking muffins and now I'm sitting here feeling ripped off and in general just shit.

Apologies, just needed to shout into the void for a while.

I've been on a health kick for about 8 weeks now, cut out all junk food and already lost 2 stone, that's how much crap I was eating before. I replaced cereal with these overnight oats that you can make pretty easily but after 2 months I'm absolutely sick of them. I'm thinking about honestly just having a banana for breakfast now and on my days off I'll have a cup of coffee with it.

What do you have for breakfast?

I’ve heard flails and bastard swords are good for BG2 especially to dual wield but what weapon should I go with for BG1?

Beginning a new character after having not played for a couple of years and I just can't seem to decide which character build I want that'll keep me interested throughout all 3 games so figured I'd ask reddit

Luckily it wasn't a field of crops just grass but the damage that could have been done without the firefighters quick response could have been severe.

Knowing the British government they'll get a slap on the wrist at most but what would you feel would be a more suitable punishment for something that could have gone very very badly?

I'm currently back living with my parents and a few days ago I got a full arm tattoo so I'm resting up/healing. For some unknown reason though today is the day they chose out of the entire year to rearrange their living room furniture so I get called down from my bedroom to do the heavy lifting which I obviously can't with only one good arm, I tell them this and now they are in a mood with me.

It just got me thinking though because they've done stuff like this a lot in the past, my mum especially loves volunteering me for things even when she knows I can't for whatever reason

Getting tattoo'd in a different city today and they have a strict 10am start, booked the train to arrive an hour early so I was relaxed in case a delay happens, what happens? They cancel it. Peak time too, would have arrived at 8:55am

Now I'm just waiting to see if the next train is either delayed or cancelled and if it is I'm screwed so instead of a nice relaxed morning I'm sitting here stressing out. Not the absolute worst scenario like missing an important job interview etc but still very annoying.

Crazy thing is it's the same reason as the last time a train was cancelled on me 'Not enough crew'

Not enough crew? You're a multi-billion £ company and you can't hire enough people to man the things that makes your company money??

Is it just where I shop or have you noticed this too?

The one time people are desperate for frozen goods and the freezers all decide to break??

Bad luck happens to everyone but sometimes it seems like it happens constantly whether random or influenced by other people and it can start to feel like the world is picking on you specifically. Doesn't matter how mentally tough you are, even a statue crumbles with enough pressure.

Do you have any small or big ways to lift yourself up when this happens?

Have to admit it's been getting to me lately and I've been feeling truly pathetic. I'm running out of 'it is what it is' as some would say.

Has anyone actually tried this or is it an old wives tale?

I remember a while ago there was an article about a young mum kicking off because she was at home with her 2 toddlers and she'd ordered groceries but the delivery driver wouldn't walk up the stairs to get to her apartment and it opened up the question of whether or not he should have.

As I recall it was like £200 worth of groceries and there was no lift available so he just told her to come down to the front and get it because he wasn't lugging that crap up a bunch of stairs. The article made it seem like a ton of people were on the mothers side but I know I wasn't.
