After having success with people working from home, and after reducing office footprints a number of times over the last 6 years, my company just announced that all US and EMEA employees will be working from home and the company is "Remote-first".

Has anyone else gone through this? It was announced that there will be a new set of WFH benefits, which I am happy about as I've been WFH for over 8 years, while stating that the India office will remain hybrid. Should I expect positions to move to India or have corporations in the US gone remote-first and stayed primarily in the US?

TL:DR I hate how I look and my son is starting to look like me

My mother always said, as many do, "Just you wait, you'll have kids just like you". Given how my brothers and I acted growing up that was a threat. Now I have two and she couldn't have been more wrong. They're both amazing, honest, hard working kids. My son is now 16 and he is everything I wasn't in high school. He's athletic, varsity in football, wrestling, and track, he gets all A's and is taking an AP course this year, he stayed in Scouts and is currently hiking through NM for 10 days. Lastly he always took after my wife's side of the family with dimples, bright eyes, and an amazing smile.

Cut to right before he left for this hike. He's bulked up a bit (6' 250lbs) and just buzzed his hair for the trip and for the first time I see myself because I'm very heavy and have had a buzz cut since middle school. The issue is I've never thought I was anything but ugly. I don't really like my face or my stature and I feel almost like I cursed this great kid with a life of looking like me.

Is this normal? When people say he looks like me it's always said like a great thing, like I should be extra proud of him or something. But I've always been proud of him and I loved him since he was born all purple and wriggly. I don't love him any less, I just worry that he will feel about himself the way I feel about me.

Thank you all for your time and words. It only occurred to me while reading all the kind messages that he looked most like me this time because he asked for his hair to be cut like mine. If he's happy with how he looks that's enough for me.

Is this intended as a guideline for everyone or just one that Isaac enforces in Tangle? Because while Mitch is a human being he has done everything in his power to thwart democracy, to destroy protections that keep people alive, and even to blow off and work against the best interest of coal miners with black lung from his own state.

If someone has shown little to no value in human life, or at least treated wealth and political power as more important than human life, than I say they do not receive well-wishes at the end of theirs.

I've had my x-plus for about 5 years and it seems like the last year or so it can't make intricate parts like it used to. When I first got it I made print in place collapsing swords or articulated dragons and such but now pieces that used to work are joined together because the layers meld together.

No settings changed, same type of filament, same location. Is there anything I should look at to make it run like it used to?

My son is a sophomore throwing shot, disc, and jav. A few weeks back he was asked to throw hammer which he had never done and they didn't have one to practice. So now he's got the school record with a total score of 27.51m!

As he's about 3" from the record on shot he's hoping to hold two by next year.

My doctor started me on .25 this month. I took the first shot last Saturday, felt great Sunday, ate less plenty of water. Monday morning at 3am I woke up with terrible nausea and pain in my abdomen. After a while day of not keeping anything down I went to the ER and found out I had acute appendicitis.

I'm about a week post op, doing better. Exercise has been a little difficult but not eating too much had been easy.
