made it by myself completely from scratch because I had a tight deadline and all the bakeries were booked out 🙂↕️ I think I did pretty well considering I don’t really bake!!!
I’ve had him for about 2 weeks now, can’t wait to see him get older 🥹
EDIT: for everyone worried about how young he is and being away from mom, unfortunately the lady who gave him to me said she’d found him in her backyard all alone, and her dog was trying to get him. He’s unharmed, has since been to the vet and is doing great! Bottle feeding him every few hours :-)
long story short I work in fast food and a customer came by yesterday and asked us if we wanted a kitten. My managers said yes and I said I’d take it home since I have experience with animals, but the kittens gotta be only a week or week and a half old. Its eyes are slightly open but the corners are still closed. I can’t go by the vet until at least tomorrow evening, I went earlier but the doctor had already left for the day. The receptionist told me it’s normal for it to reject the milk at first and to try again later. I tried later, which was an hour ago, and the kitten still wouldn’t latch to the bottle or syringe.
I ended up feeding it with the syringe, with 2 ml of kmr. I made sure to just do little drops and it seemed to be drinking it, I just couldn’t get it to drink any other way. Do I need to be worried? He doesn’t seem lethargic or anything. I’m keeping him in a larger cardboard box with a heating pad on one side and blankets covering it. He mostly just sleeps. I’m trying to go to the emergency vet tomorrow but I have to work first so it wouldn’t be until after.
planning a trip to Yellowstone for my 18th birthday, and I love wolves, and have for around the past 8 years. I’d really like to see them when I go, it’s one of the big reasons I wanna go to Yellowstone in the first place, but I know they’re sort of rare to see. I know waking up early is a good bet, but any other tips? Planning to go during January/Febuary 2028.
Also if anyone has any budget tips I’d be grateful! I’m coming from NC and I’m trying to find the most affordable plan so I know how much to save by the time my trip comes around.
I got pierced yesterday and the right side is more swollen than the left, and starting for form a pocket (in the first pic) is it alright or should I make an appointment for longer bars?
I wanna get snakebite piercings and I brought it up to my manager and he told me I’d have to find some way to cover them because piercings are prohibited. Around 10 of my coworkers have facial piercings, not covered and get no complaints. Our employee handbook also says piercings are allowed to an extent, (mine would be fine) and don’t need to be covered. Would I be alright to get them? Could I get in trouble for getting them and not having them covered??
