Working on a Cosy Cafe Game. This is the first phase of development

Hi,

So I am an indie developer currently working on a cosy cafe game initially named 'Warm Regards'

The game is in development phase right now with the first draft being ready.

I just wanted to share it with the community to get some honest feedback on the game play.

To give you a brief -

You have just lost a job and to have a good/fruitful/comforting conversation, you check with your granny.

She has a cafe that is having to be renovated with a terrible rating of 1.2 stars.

You being someone who is passionate and wants to do something for yourself, decide to give the cafe a chance and take up the challenge to improve the rating, serve customer and earn good money.

This is the preface to game.

For now planning an android release as well as a web version for it.

I launched my First Android Trivia Game. Need honest, rational feedback

Description:

We all know the classic party icebreaker, 2 Truths 1 Lie. I wanted to bring that exact fun to Android, but with a unique gameplay twist built specifically for mobile trivia fans.

I’m a 28-year-old indie dev trying to break into the mobile space.

This game represents 3 to 4 months of late-night grinding (and yes, leveraging AI tools to help me across the finish line). It feels surreal to finally hit "publish" on Google Play and have my first game live

Involvement:

I built this entirely solo. I work a day job in IT, so while I know my way around code, I had zero prior Android development experience before taking this on.

I learned React Native and Expo Go from scratch just for this project, making this the very first product I’ve ever built and shipped completely on my own.

A lot of thought went into the core loop and design, but when you stare at your own project for months, you lose perspective.

I need fresh, unbiased eyes.

Please don't hold back - I am looking for honest, brutal feedback, specifically on:

  • UI/UX: Does the interface feel intuitive, clean, and responsive?
  • User Retention: What would actually make you want to open this app again tomorrow? What features are missing?
  • Ad Frequency: Are the ads annoying or obtrusive, or does the pacing feel fair for a free-to-play game?

The internet cannot stop talking about Vice City, so let's test how much you actually know.

Two of these are true, one is a straight up lie. Guess before you peek.
